Unsupersize Me is a 2013 American documentary film created, directed and produced by independent filmmaker Juan-Carlos Francisco Asse. It advocates a whole-food, plant-based diet combined with a tailored exercise plan to improve health. Unsupersize Me, starring Tracy Ryan and Asse himself, tells the story of the transformation of a young woman who lost 200 pounds in a year by following Asse's specific program. According to its creator, one of the objectives of this documentary is to spark a health revolution by demonstrating how easy it is to lose weight and take control of one's life. The DVD of the documentary Unsupersize Me which won four awards of excellence and merit, was released in July 2013. By its name and reverse strategy, this movie reminds critics of the 2004 American documentary film Super Size Me which explored the influence of the fast food industry on Americans eating habits and its impact on health.
