Gopinath handled cinematography while V. T. Vijayan was the film's editor. The film, produced by AVM Productions and distributed by Sun Pictures, was launched in February 2009 and the shooting for the film commenced the following month.The film revolves around a youngster who aims to be a cop just like a local police commissioner whom he idolizes, but during the process he is stopped by the evil done to his friends by a local mobster. The film's soundtrack, composed by Vijay Antony,was released in September 2009. This film is dubbed in Hindi as Dangerous Khiladi 3.
Synopsis
Ravi (Vijay) lives in Tuticorin. He aspires to become a policeman like his idol, Encounter Specialist Devaraj IPS (Srihari). After completing his Plus 2, he joins a college in Chennai and also earns a living by driving an auto rickshaw. During the course, he meets Suseela (Anushka Shetty) and falls in love with her instantly. Although Suseela rejects Ravi's advances at first, with the help of her grandmother (Sukumari), Ravi succeeds in winning Suseela's heart.Acteurs

Shirdi Sai (Nagarjuna) appears in Shirdi at an early age and disappears. He goes to the Himalayas and returns to Shirdi after a gap of 9 years. He chooses a dilapidated mosque as his abode. A young journalist Bharathi (Genelia D'Souza), along with two of her friends, investigate a series of terrorist attacks which have taken place in Chennai and also illegal activities like women trafficking. When they are caught video-recording illicit activities happening in a secluded house one night by a group of thugs, they attempt to flee from them. While Bharathi's friends are killed, Bharathi manages to escape despite being stabbed by one of the thugs. But after the attack on Bharathi and her friends, the thugs' vehicle explodes due to a small mishap when a matchstick falls over petrol packets stored in the vehicle, killing all the thugs. Bharathi comes up with a new idea to eradicate society's evils by creating and propagating a fictional character called "Velayudham" who wants to clean up the city of terrorism and other illegal activities.

Lakshmi Krishna Devaraya @ LK (Srihari), a famous advocate, always fights on behalf of criminals and helps them win their cases. However, LK believes that he was the envoy of God and implements the real justice after the court acquits them by killing the accused in the name of cosmic justice. His sister (Suhasini) always encourages him in every case. In fact, LK's parents committed suicide after not receiving justice in the court for the rape of their daughter, which motivated LK to be a vigilante. Sri Mahalakshmi (Shamna), an MBBS student, is the daughter of a teacher Sambamurthy (Sri Tilakan). She is killed by some nine NRI girls. Their parents meet LK and urge him to save their children who were fixed in a murder case. LK makes a thorough research on the subject and gets the girls acquitted. But in his personal inquiry, LK finds that the hostel matron Olga Rose Mary (Sana), medical college principal Bhogendra Bhalla and public prosecutor Janardhan (Sayaji Shinde) were behind Sri Mahalakshmi's death. It is Janardhan and Bhalla who raped the girl which led to her death but imposed the case on the NRI girls. Finally LK implements the cosmic justice by killing all three of the accused.

Arumugham (Vikram) is an uneducated, good hearted, helpful village hick. Easwari (Jyothika) is his childhood enemy who argues with him about almost everything. A chemical factory in the village pollutes the local river and when all attempts to stop the factory waste from going to the drinking water falls flat, the villagers decide to send Arumugham to Chennai and meet the concerned minister who has won from their constituency. He sets out for the city with Easwari and her grandmother and they stay with Arumugham's friend (Vivek) and gang. Swapna (Reema Sen) is a model who stays in the same area and she lusts after Arumugham. They meet the Minister (Sayaji Shinde) who is extremely nice to them and promises to help them. Soon Arumugham is forced by circumstances to fight against an anti-social gang with a lady boss. An honest police officer (Manoj K Jayan) tries to collect evidence against the criminal gang. When Arumugham realizes that the bad guys are the henchmen of the same Minister who is behind all the crimes! He starts beating the Minister with his intelligence and plans. Ultimately he solves his village's problem and at the same time kills the Minister.
