Viswanathan Ramamoorthy is an Indian 2001 Tamil language film directed by Rama Narayanan. The film features Ramki, Vivek, Roja, Vindhya and Kovai Sarala in lead roles. The film, produced by N. Radha, had musical score by S. A. Rajkumar and was released on 10 August 2001 received generally unfavorable reviews from critics. The film is a remake of yesteryear classic Veettuku Veedu.
Synopsis
Ramamoorthy (Vivek), with dreams of being a movie director, moves to the city with his wife Shenbagam (Vindhya), banking on his rich friend Viswanathan (Ramki) to help him. Turns out, Viswanathan is a hen-pecked husband and his wife Meena (Roja), an aspiring actress. With the intent on laying their hands on 30 lakhs, Shenbagam begins to act as Viswanathan's wife and Meena, in financial trouble of her own, agrees to be part of the drama. But Andal (Kovai Sarala), who sees Ramamoorthy as the man of her dreams, tries to woo him.Acteurs

Parvathiamma(Latha) is the domineering mother of three sons Kandha(Prabhu), Kadamba(S.V.Sekhar) and Kathirvela(Vivek), who do her every bidding. They move around in an auto and work at their own hotel. Parvatiamma has disavowed her only daughter ever since she ran away with a barber Vedivelan(Vadivelu). Now the daughter's wish is to have her brothers present at the function of her son. Vadivelan takes this task upon himself and enters the household. His first job is to fix up the marriages of the sons with Rupini(Roja), Ragini(Sarala) and Rohini(Nirosha). Parvatiamma counterattacks by first ejecting him from the house and then separating her sons from their wives. Whether the couples reunite and Vedivelan succeeds or not forms the rest of the story.

Thirupathi (Vadivelu), Ezhumalai (S. Ve. Shekher) and Venkatesa (Prabhu) are poor friends who tried to become rich. Nachiappan (Venniradai Moorthy), a bungalow watchman, has three daughters : Lalitha (Kovai Sarala), Padmini (Urvashi) and Ragini (Roja). When his owner left the bungalow on vacation, Nachiappan's daughters decide to live there. Then, Nachiappan rents his owner's top portion bungalow to Thirupathi, Ezhumalai and Venkatesa who lied about their job. The three men finally get married with the three women. The rest of the story is how the three men will manage their wives.

Ponnappan (Radha Ravi), Uzhagappan (S. S. Chandran) and Azhagappan (Venniradai Moorthy) are three naive villagers who come to Chennai for becoming wealthy. However, they are cheated by the townsfolk. They decide to join hands and they begin to look for an intelligent, bachelor and good partner. The first one who comes to their mind is the lord Ganapathi. They then sign a contract with the lord (statue) : in five years time, Ganapathi will have the quarter of their benefit. The Gurukkal is the witness of this deal. To help them, Ganapathi himself appears as a human (Visu) and he becomes their partner. Five years later, Ponnappan, Uzhagappan and Azhagappan become wealthy and arrogant men. One day, the Gurukkal asks them the quarter of their benefit as promised to build a temple but Ponnappan, Uzhagappan and Azhagappan refuse it categorically. Ganapathi is shocked for being betrayed and decides to teach them a lesson.
