This movie is about an army officer named Suraj Dutt (Akshay Kumar ) who is the son of Yashpal Dutt (Anupam Kher). Suraj goes to meet his sister Minnie in at a women's college before he falls in love with Alka (Ashwini Bhave). They get married soon but Suraj is called for a year-long mission. While he is away a message arrives that Suraj has been killed. Minni, Alka & Yashpal each learn about this but don't tell each other as they feel each otherwill die upon hearing this . Inspector Arjun is an honest and diligent police officer. He has an older stepbrother named Bhishma, and a younger brother named Suraj. While Bhishma lives with their mother in the village, Arjun and Suraj live in the city. Suraj gets employed at a poultry farm, but finds out that this is just a front for drugs like cocaine. His attempts to get this information to the police and his brother are in vain, as he is captured by the owners of the poultry farm, who owe their allegiance to notorious gangster Dhaman Chamunda. When Dhaman comes to know about Suraj, he decides to teach Arjun and Bhishma a lesson – first by splitting them up over the property they own in the village, then by framing Bhishma for the death of Suraj. With anger and hostilities reigning high amongst the two remaining brothers, the Chamunda Brothers decide to take full advantage of this situation, and watch in glee as the two brothers go against each other, in a fight to death. Bhishma and Arjun clear their misunderstandings but when their stepmother is killed by the Chamunda Brothers they unite and kill them one by one until eventually destroying their empire.

News Reporter Payal (Twinkle Khanna) and her camera-man have been assigned the task of interviewing the world's highest ranking criminal don, Devraj (Akshay Kumar), which they accept. In the process, Payal and Devraj fall in love with each other,much to the opposition of Bismillah (Mukesh Khanna), Devraj's guardian on one hand; and Police Inspector Amit (Rajat Bedi), and Payal's brother Ravi (Vivek Shauq) on the other. What results is that Ravi is killed with Devraj being blamed and arrested. Payal tesitifies against him, and Devraj is sentenced to be hanged. When Bismillah finds about this plot, he tracks them down, but Amit kills him to save himself and Payal. But Devraj escapes from custody, and begins to plot vengeance against his enemies, including Payal, as well as the real killer of Ravi. As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Amit was the one who killed Ravi and joined Thakral to frame Devraj for it. But Amit betrays Thakral and kills him. He then takes Payal on a flight where Devraj tracks him down and kills him. The story ends with Payal and Devraj getting married.

Raja Mishra (Saif Ali Khan) gatecrashes into a marriage while trying to escape from a brawl. The bride's cousin, Rudra Tripathi (Jimmy Shergill), and Raja form a friendship upon Raja revealing that he is a uninvited guest. While in process of seducing the mujra dancer, Raja overhears a plot by Lallan Tiwari (Chunky Pandey) to execute everyone in the wedding upon instructions from a land lord wanting to use Rudra's uncle's land for poppy farming. Raja warns everyone about the impending attack and Raja and Rudra fight off the attacking Lallan Singh's gang. Rudra's uncle (Sharat Saxena) sees the potential in Raja and Rudra forming an alliance for offering protection to political personalities and offers them to join his gang. Not wanting to enter the world of politics, they refuse and Rudra's uncle advices them to take refuge from Lallan's gang in jail. In a later incident Rudra's uncle is killed by the poppy field owner with help of Lallan Singh.

Sagar est plongeur professionnel aux Bahamas. C'est un homme au passé trouble qui vit modestement. In the beginning, we see Jimmy Cliff (Saif Ali Khan), a call center executive who also teaches English, as the narrator. Pooja Singh (Kareena Kapoor) shows up outside his class and says she needs private tutoring. Without any hesitation, Jimmy quickly agrees as he has already fallen in love with her; he later finds out that Pooja's boss Bhaiyyaji (Anil Kapoor) is the one who has to be tutored. As their love grows, Pooja reveals that she is only working for Bhaiyyaji to pay her debts so she can then go to Haridwar to scatter her father's ashes. They decide to steal Bhaiyyaji's money and run away. The couple succeeds in their mission, and Jimmy asks Pooja to guard the money while he goes to the call center to tell them he is leaving.
