Bryon Lee Weiss (February 12, 1963 – March 1, 2014) was an American stuntman and actor who appeared in a combined seventy films and television series.

Biographie

Raised in Union City, Ohio, where he attended Mississinawa Valley High School, Weiss went on to Bowling Green State University to play football. He served in the United States Marine Corps and then became a professional stuntman. After a few minor acting roles, his stunt work began in the television series Walker, Texas Ranger from 1994 through 2001, performing stunts in over 70 episodes and, later, TV movies. His stunt career in films began with Point Blank (1998) and, a year later, he became a stunt double for Marco Sanchez in the television series Sons of Thunder.

In the 2000s, Weiss was a stunt double for Benicio del Toro in the film Sin City, a stuntman in Live Free or Die Hard and a stunt double in the television series Prison Break, for which he was nominated with others for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series. In 2013, he received another SAG nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture for The Amazing Spider-Man (2012). Before his death, he completed stunt work on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Transformers: Age of Extinction, and was in the process of producing and directing an independent film.
