Chang Yi (born Chang Po-shen on 24 February 1945) is a Hong Kong actor and director originally from Huizhou, China. He has appeared in over 90 films, mostly martial arts films under the Shaw Brothers Studio. Since the 1980s he mostly acted in television and appeared in over 20 TV series.
He currently resides in Greater Vancouver in Canada.

L'agent de police Tuba (Sammo Hung) est un homme timide qui préfère jouer dans l'orchestre de la police que de s'impliquer véritablement sur le terrain. Le sergent Rambo Chow (David Chiang), l'officier le plus décoré du commissariat, décide de l'utiliser dans une opération d'infiltration qui a des conséquences désastreuses puisque Chow est tué. Avant de mourir, il fait promettre à Tuba d'attraper ses assassins, ce que Tuba accepte à contrecœur mais sans vraiment avoir l'intention de tenir sa promesse. Plus tard, en compagnie du policier novice enthousiaste Cheung (Jacky Cheung), Tuba voit le fantôme de Chow qui vient le hanter pour l'aider à tenir sa promesse. Il s'immisce dans son travail et dans sa vie privée, en particulier dans sa romance naissante avec la jolie Joanne (Joey Wong), afin que tout le monde pense qu'il devient fou. Tuba étant la seule personne capable de voir ou d'entendre le fantôme, il se trouve obligé de l'écouter et pour la première fois de sa vie, doit faire preuve de courage ou être tourmenté par ce fantôme pour le restant de sa vie.

Leung Chun Yue (Bryan Leung) is a famous architect who is about to marry his girlfriend Hydi. He is by chance reunited with Wong Kin Hang (Damian Lau), a long lost friend whom Leung invites to be his house as a guest. Wong is now in Hong Kong with the aim to kill jewel king Wai Kit (Cheung Yik), who has ruined his family. Wong fails in his attempt but is captured and tortured by Wai. Chun-yau (Bryan Leung) was adopted as a little orphan boy by a humble rich man under one rainy-night who already had a mean young son. Chun-yau has developed into a fine kung fu fighter who is on the run with his newly-wedded wife Yuet-yee (Fanny Wang) from his step-brother Cho-wing (Chang Yi), whom is madly after his sister-in-law. The jealous son holds a grudge against his stepbrother because he blame Chun-yau for the lost of his eye (and now wears a jade patch over the eye). Now, Cho-wing has made it his goal to hunt down Chun-yau and his bride, prompting the newlyweds to spend their lives together running in fear from the gang leader. One fine day, Fatty (Sammo Hung) spots Chun-yau helping an old man from being crushed by a loaded-cart. Fatty challenges Chun-yau but is ultimately defeated. However, Chun-yau is not interested in becoming Fatty's master since he is more worried about his own domestic problems. Apparently Fatty has promised his ancestors that he shall learn proper kung fu by training under the man who beats him (and Chun-yau is the first to do so.). However, Chun-yau and his wife are trying to keep a low profile and they want nothing to do with Fatty, as all he does is attract attention. Fatty, meanwhile, can’t help but wonder why such a great martial artist lives in fear.

Meng Hu (Don Wong) and Capt. Chow Lung (Lo Lieh) are local supercops who are cracking down on crime with a vengeance. That is, until several fighters get the drop on Chow who ends up dead. Meng blames himself and retires from crime fighting to become a pathetic drunk, drowning in shame. He finds work at a brothel for a time, until a patron's abuse of one of the girls causes him to interfere despite his refusal to fight. After being wounded, he stumbles to the doorstep of a martial arts school run by Magistrate Chen (Chui Chung Hei). Hoping to stay away from conflict, Meng finds work there, but trouble finds him anyway. A white-haired master named Chung Tung (Chang Yi) tries to bribe Chen into letting opium smugglers into the city. Chen refuses and has acupuncture needles thrust into him that will kill him unless removed by Chung Tung who hopes to control the magistrate. Pushed to the limit, Meng finally comes up with a plan to help beat Chung Tung and save Chen. Sadly, Chen believes his son and daughter are giving into Chung Tung and he removes the needles himself. With nothing holding them back, Meng and Chen's offspring leap into action to take out this pack of drug pushers.

The mainly evil Mantis Fist school and the righteous Eagle Claw have fought out a bitter rivalry over many years. The culmination in this progressive clash is the death of the Eagle's Claw school master due to a severe beating by his savage, eccentric rival. With the school now in turmoil, the dying master leaves the responsibilities of his legacy to his second most senior pupil (Wong Tao) while ignoring the quietly seething senior student (Chi Kwan Chun). The forgotten man cannot contain his rage for long though and storms off to the Mantis Fist school out of spite. Knight Yin comes to visit his fiancee Tik but finds her house has been completely deserted. Suspecting it was the work of the henchmen of Ong, a bandit chief in the area of the Green Dragon Association he kills his henchman One-legged Wolf in the ensuing fight although Ma escapes. Yin contacts a friend from the town, Suen and arranges a valuable consignment to lure Ong's men in as bait and to eventually lead him to the kidnapped Tik. During the collection by Ong's henchmen, Yin is able to recover his fiance but not without cost. Back at his lair, Ong discovers that the "valuable" consignment is a fake and he has been double-crossed, particularly as his hostage has escaped during the process. Seriously angry, he dispatches his henchmen leading to a final violent showdown with Yin and his friends.
