She has appeared in Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Dill Mill Gayye and Sangam She won the Indian Television Academy Awards for Best Actress Critics for her leading role in the Star Plus romantic series Saraswatichandra. Eastern Eye placed her at 21st position on its list of World's Sexiest Asian Women for 2012.It was reported that Winget threw some tantrums on the sets of Saraswatichandra.

Mala works as a school-teacher and had a great dream that her bridegroom will arrive on a horse and her marriage will be done in a great pomp and ceremony. The police get involved and Raj is arrested.
