Jole Fierro (22 November 1926 - 27 March 1988) was an Italian actress.

Born in Salerno, Fierro made her debut in the early 1950s in the Neapolitan dialect theater, and shortly later she made her first appearances in films. In June 1954, she acted in the surreal comedy play written and directed by Dario Fo I sani da legare, then, in the autumn of the same year, she entered the prestigious stage company of Eduardo De Filippo, with whom she achieved some large success. She was also critically apprecciated for her performances in Miseria e nobiltà by Mario Scarpetta and in Palummella zompa e vola by Antonio Petito.

Fierro had a significant career in Italian television, where she starred in dozens of television films and series, while her film career was mainly limited to character roles. She had a long relationship with actor Arnoldo Foà, and the couple had a daughter, Annalisa.

Sandro Collauti (Michel Constantin) est chauffeur routier international et fait équipe depuis de nombreuses années avec Matteo Zaghi (Enzo Fiermonte). Le jour de la visite médicale, Matteo est recalé et par conséquent doit arrêter d’exercer le métier. Sandro a pour nouveau compagnon de route Nino Patrovita (Giancarlo Giannini), un autre chauffeur rencontré le jour de la visite avec qui le courant n'est pas trop bien passé entre eux dû aux caractères opposés des deux hommes. Malgré cela, au fil du temps passé ensemble dans un camion, un lien d'amitié se tisse entre Sandro et Nino qui finiront par s'associer et devenir transporteurs indépendants. Mais leurs débuts en tant que patrons ne seront pas de tout repos.

Although Valeria Messalina makes a brief appearance in the film, the Messalina of the film's Italian title is Nero's third wife, Statilia Messalina, who appears towards the end. The dissolute Nero has come to the imperial throne through the machinations of his mother Julia Agrippina, whom he later murders. Among his other prominent victims are his tutor Seneca the Younger and his first two wives, Claudia Octavia and Poppea Sabina. One of his mistresses, the slave girl Claudia Acte, is portrayed in the film as a Christian who introduces the emperor to their teachings and flees on learning her lover's identity. During this upheaval, Nero overturns a lamp, which leads to the burning of Rome. This he blames on the Christians and orders a general persecution, in which Acte dies. When the populace eventually rises against him, Nero takes refuge with one of his freedmen and is killed by a slave.

The protagonist of the film, set in 1700, is Figaro, the barber of Seville, which is likely to be arrested because although there is a ban opens his shop on Sundays. Then finally comes Rosina remains very disappointed when he sees that his beloved is not there. Figaro, however, has an idea: he writes a note and puts it in OCA that will bring to the table, where it says that the man in the white hat is Pedro. Unfortunately at that time the white hat's got Figaro and Pedro, so the soldiers Figaro stop believing that it is Pedro and the plan fails. Figaro is sentenced to death by firing squad, but in the end manages to escape helped by count. Eventually, after many vicissitudes, Count riece to marry Rosina and, after marriage, Figaro goes to live with them.
