M. G. Sreekumar is a two-time National Award-winning Indian playback singer and music director who works in Malayalam cinema. With a career of over 25 years, he is one of the prominent male singers in the Malayalam film industry. He is known for matching voice with Malayalam actor Mohanlal. Sreekumar has sung in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. He is the youngest brother of music director M. G. Radhakrishnan and singer K. Omanakutty. He owns a music company named KMG Musics.
Sreekumar made his debut in the Malayalam movie Poochakkoru Mookkuthi (1984). The Malayalam movie Chithram (1988) directed by Priyadarshan, starring Mohanlal, was the first where Sreekumar sang all the songs. He has sung more than 3,000 songs for films in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.
He worked as music director in Malayalam films such as Chathurangam (2002) and Thandavam (2002). Sreekumar's latest movies as music director are Priyadarshan's Kanchivaram (2008), Mohanlal's Alexander The Great and Oru Naal Varum. He will do the music for Paraya Paraya Pattanam and another Tamil film to be produced by Seven Arts. Sreekumar's voice has most often been used in films with Mohanlal, Dileep and Jayaram. He also composed songs in the name S. Kumar for Ayyappa devotional songs in Malayalam.
He anchors a TV show named SaReGaMa on Asianet and was a judge for the reality show Idea Star Singer. In 2012, Sreekumar turned to the role of producer with the film Ardhanaari, directed by Santhosh Souparnika and his second attempt Swaminadhan is in progress.

Biographie
Sreekumar worked in the State Bank of Travancore, before starting his career as a singer. He started his music career by accompanying his brother M. G. Radhakrishnan in his carnatic musical concerts. Born in Haripad, Alappuzha District of Kerala, his father, Malabar Gopalan Nair was a well known singer. His elder brother and music guru, the late M. G. Radhakrishnan, was an award-winning music director and carnatic musician. His elder sister, K. Omanakutty, is a classical music vocalist and a principal at Kerala Music Academy.Sreekumar made his debut in the Malayalam movie Poochakkoru Mookkuthi (1984). The film is set in a fictitious poverty-ridden village of Gowlipady, which is virtually ruled by the ruthless zamindari Bhandaravathi (Sukanya). Kashi (Nedumudi Venu) is a lottery salesman. He is the only literate person of his village. Once, a lottery sold by him happens to win the first prize of 5 Crore Indian Rupee. Greedy Kashi tries to get back the lottery ticket but doesn't know to whom he has sold the ticket to. So, he conducts a treat exclusive to all those who buys ticket from him and to gain entrance need to give their tickets back. As the treat ends, all the tickets he have sold except one is collected. Later, he comes to know that the one remaining ticket, the same ticket which won the prize, sold to Anthony (Nandu) is still not collected.

'Nakhangal' tells the tale of three youngsters sharing a rented house. The house belongs to an NRI, whose friend Jeevan (Arun) arranges for the rental. Giri (Rakendu), a driver in a courier company, Jackson (Madan Mohan), a tea estate accountant and Sherin (Megha), a nurse are the youngsters who stay together. A fourth person enters the home and their lives when the rent is increased. He introduces himself as a writer with the pen name Manjila. But is fishy about Manjila who carries a gun with him. The plot thickens when he is found dead from drug overdose and Giri finds a bag of money in the room. There are takers for the money who wants it returned to them. But the three friends decide to keep it for themselves. Meanwhile Sherin is being persuaded by Vinodh, to accept his love for her. The money orchestrates the rest of the story with broken trust, gruesome murders and a suspense ending.

The story revolves around Seetha, a tutor in a Government College. Madhavan Menon (Maddy) is a ruthless investigating officer working with the Mumbai Police. Jayaraman (Jayasurya) is popularly known as Kunjaliyan (Young Brother-in-law) in Gopalapuram, a village in the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border. He is the younger brother of three sisters. The film starts with Dr. Dinanathan and his family leaving for a vacation. But midway they get a call from the hospital due to an emergency surgery and he has to come back to the hospital for the surgery. Later, all goes well and the Dinanathan is called to Chennai for a surgery and it turns out to be his ex-lover Sophia's husband who dies in spite of the successful surgery and he sends a letter to Dinanathan telling him to take care of Sophia.
