Manjula Swaroop (Telugu: మంజుల స్వరూప్) (née Ghattamaneni; born 1970), better known as Manjula, is an Indian film producer and actress known for her work in Telugu Cinema. Born to prominent Telugu actor Krishna Ghattamaneni, she began her acting career by doing a cameo role in the 1999 film Rajasthan and went on to act as a lead actress in a Malayalam film, Summer in Bethlehem. She found fame by starring and producing in the 2002 film, Show. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and National Film Award for Best Screenplay for that year. She owns a film production company called Indira Productions, named after her mother.

She is the daughter and third child of veteran actor Krishna Ghattamaneni and Indira Devi. She has two brothers and two sisters. Her elder brother, Ramesh Babu is also a film producer and her younger brother, Mahesh Babu is a popular Telugu actor. Manjula is married to producer & actor Sanjay Swaroop. Raj (Indrajeet) and Pooja (Manjula Swaroop) are a married couple who move into a new house with their children. Desperate for a nanny to take care of their children, they hire Kavya who is unemployed, after she saves Pooja's life. Kavya grows close to the family and they come to consider her part of the family. However, as the movie progresses, it is revealed that Kavya was the wife of a gynecologist who committed suicide after Pooja accused him of sexually assaulting her. Other patients supported this claim and he eventually committed suicide. In an attempt to save him, Kavya accidentally miscarries. She eventually tries to destroy the family and kill Pooja to get revenge for her loss. The movie is a remake of the English movie, 'The Hand that Rocks the Cradle'.

Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) is a mechanical engineering graduate but aspires to become a filmmaker. Through his friend, Karthik gets introduced to director Puri Jagannadh. With his support,Karthik family, who are Hindus, rents the ground floor of a two-storeyed house which belongs to the Thekekuttus. The Thekekuttu family is a conservative Malayali Syrian Catholic family from Alappuzha, Kerala, who live upstairs. The Thekekuttus have a daughter, Jessie (Samantha), who is 2 years older to Karthik. When Karthik meets Jessie for the first time, he falls in love with her. Karthik expresses his love one day to her, who is afraid of speaking to men around her strict father, and ends up angering Jessie. The two meet several times afterwards and Jessie begins to admit that she likes Karthik but wants to refrain from any problems because she knows her father won't accept a Hindu marrying their daughter. Her parents learn about their affair and arrange a marriage for her. But at the wedding, she refuses to marry the groom, displeasing everyone in her family. Karthik and Jessie continue to love each other without the knowledge of their parents. Suddenly, Jessie is forced by her father to marry and seeks Karthik's help, who was in Goa for a film shooting. Busy Karthik is unable to attend to her calls and messages; Jessie is unable to reach him. After a tense phone call from Jessie, Karthik goes back one night to check on her. An angry and hurt Jessie makes a final decision to break up with Karthik because of her father's strong disapproval of their love.

Naani an eight-year-old boy who is very mischievous always troubling his mother. His mother scolds him when he eats the toothpaste, urinate in bed at night. Naani falls down on a road one day and a young woman helps him. Naani's elder brother plans to watch adults movie with his friends in the absence of their parents and Naani demands him to join him to which his brother does not allow him. Angered, Naani cuts off the power which creates a short circuit at home. Naani's mother scolds for his dangerous mischief and shouts at her husband for not stopping with one child as Naani is troubling her a lot. This hurts Naani and he runs away from home to jump into a river. But he is stopped by an old man and he takes Naani to his place. The old man introduces himself as a scientist who has his own laboratory. He insists Naani to help him in his research of transforming a child to a young man. Naani agrees and the scientist transforms him to a young man. Naani starts to live as a young man physically but as a child mentally and stays away from his family. The only person other than scientist who knows the truth is his child classmate friend. Naani meets the girl at a park who helped him once he fell down on road. Innocent child Naani helps to remove dust from her eyes, smiles at her and leaves the place. The girl is very much attracted towards him and she looks for him every day.
