Tiruchirapalli Krishnaswamy Ramamoorthy (1922 – 17 April 2013), known as T. K. Ramamoorthy (Tamil: டி. கே. ராமமூர்த்தி), was a popular South Indian Tamil music composer and violinist. Ramamoorthy was born in Tiruchirapalli into a family that was very much musically inclined. Both his father, Krishnaswamy Pillai, and grandfather, Malaikottai Govindasamy Pillai, were well known violinists in Tiruchirapalli. Ramamoorthy gave several stage performances along with his father in his childhood. C. R. Subburaman noted the young boy's talent and hired him as a violinist for HMV when he was only fourteen years old. Ramamoorthy in 1940's worked in Saraswathi Stores where AVM Studo's boss, Avichi Meiyappa Chettiar, was a partner – which lead him to play the violin for AVM's music composer, R. Sudarsanam, in some films. By the late 1940s C. R. Subburaman was a rising star in the South Indian film music world, and Ramamoorthy rejoined him as one of his violinists in his musical troupe. There, he met violinist and composer T. G. Lingappa, as well as M. S. Viswanathan, with whom he became a partner in later years.
Ramamoorthy, along with M. S. Viswanathan, are popularly known as Mellisai Mannar (Tamil: மெல்லிசை மன்னர்) (Tamil for "The King of Light Music"). His major works are in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films. He and M. S. Viswanathan, as the duo Viswanathan Ramamoorthy, composed musical scores for over 100 films in the South Indian film industry during the 1950s and 1960s. The duo parted amicably in 1965 and since then they both composed for films individually but Ramamoorthy could not achieve success as an individual composer and composed music only for 19 films between 1966–1986. The duo rejoined in 1995 after 29 years for Engirundho Vanthan.

Madhu (Nagesh), eldest son of a rich respectable family, is compelled by his family members to get married. Unwilling to marry before getting an employment on his own, even though he does not require it due to his family background, he leaves his home to escape from the marriage torture. He gets into a train without a ticket and gets trapped to ticket checker. Along with him, another boy Sadha who is also from a rich family gets trapped for the same reason and both are thrown away from the train. Both roam around the city until they help a man from getting drowned into the river while fishing. In return, the man offers a salesman job to Madhu and driver job to Sadha in his cosmetic company Kurangu Mark Soap [Monkey brand Toilets]. Madhu performs his best to achieve a target of Rs.5000 per day. One of the man suggests to visit a home at Shennoy Nagar where he can expect a good business order.

A murder takes place in Neelagiri Express bound to Coimbatore from Chennai. Ravanan(Cho Ramaswamy) is the only co-passenger who is travelling with deceased. One of Cho's co-passengers is an attractive and mysterious young woman Kalavathy(Vijayalalitha). She takes him off the train to have food at Arokanam and the purposely make him lose the train and disappearance.In meantime Sabapathy(V. S. Raghavan) is murdered and Ravanan becomes crime suspects and realise that Ravanan is an innocent party and begins investigation. Shankar(Jaishankar) is assigned the task of nabbing the criminal behind the murder. So, he sets out of solve the case with the help ofCho ramasawmy and eventually find the murderer.

Radha slept at the "oonjak" and she is leg was fractured then her leg is cure but is continue her acting. But kamala was objection for radha's request. Then Radha and Murali couples was decided to Kamala was gets married for Narayanan and arranged for wedding hall. But Narayanan not known "Pangajam" character is real name as Kamala. Kamala was end the weekly story for pangajam getting married narayan told to kamala is not a god end. The story good ending is about only tragedy. Kamala consumes 12 sleeping dose and commit suicide.

Ramalingam is an honest, principled man, working as a clerk in a company. He values integrity and discipline as the doctrines of daily life. But his honesty is put to test when his son-in-law Raghu comes to him with a big problem. Raghu has misplaced some money in the bank in which he works, and he requests Ramalingam to give him money so that he could make good the loss. Ramalingam expresses his inability to raise such an amount at short notice. At that instant, a businessman approaches Ramalingam with a bribe of Rs. 5000 to get his work done. Ramalingam sends him away in a rage. His daughter Kamala and wife keep pressurizing him to help Raghu. The inner conflicts that torture Ramalingam in that single day and the final decision that he takes form rest of the movie.

Manimaran (M. G. Ramachandran), is a doctor living in the country of Neidhal Naadu with his sidekick Azhaga (Nagesh). Ramu (MGR) is the cowardly one – the heir to all riches of Poonjolai Jamin. He has been raised that way by his sister's husband Narendran (Nambiar). Ramu shivers at the very mention of his brother in law's name and a whiplash is Narendran's favorite form of punishment. Narendran wants to get Ramu married to Leela (Saroja Devi) but she is turned off by his cowardice. Ilango (MGR) is a jobless young man, prone to pick a fight and for this reason, the cause of trouble for his mother. Circumstances lead to Ramu and Ilango taking each other's place. Ilango teaches a lesson to Narendran while Ramu learns the ways of the world. Then Ilango teaches Narendran a lesson which forces him to leave the house. Due to this, his sister scolds and he plans to leave by reveal that he was not Ramu. Then the relation of the story reveals that Ramu and Ilango are brothers. With Ramu being kidnapped and Ilango going to help his brother and revealing everything to narendran brings the film to climax.

Sreekanth is a famous psychiatrist and has earned much praise from his mentor and people in the town. He is in love with Venniradai Nirmala. One day he is assigned a task to cure a mentally unstable women (Jayalalitha) who lives in Ooty. Srikanth informs about this to her lover and request her to wait for him until he finishes this case. Srikanth promises he will return for her and sets out to Ooty. On arriving, he is been welcomed by Jayalalaitha's parents who are very much distressed with their daughter's condition. Srikanth questions them about her past but they conceal initially as it might have a severe consequence on her future. Upon reiteration that knowing her past will be very useful for him to cure her, Jayalalitha parents reveal her awful past. Jayalalitha at a very young age got married and within hours, the couple meet with an accident and her spouse dies. Due to the aftermath of the accident and upon learning her husband's death, Jayalalitha loses her mental stability. As days pass by, Srikanth cures her for good. Her parents are happy on learning that Jayalalitha has completely forgotten her past to begin a new life. Jayalalitha begins to fall in love with Srikanth but is reluctant to profess her love to him, instead she tells her parents. Srikanth upon learning this fears that she might go back to her old condition if she learns that a girl is awaiting him. Srikanth having no courage, informs about this to Jayalalitha's parents. Srikanth marries Venniradai Nirmala and Jayalalitha on the other hand tells she indeed remembers her past and wears a white saree (tradition where in women wears a white saree after her spouse death) and convinces herself that this her destiny.

Relates the true meaning of friendship between two youths, Raghu (Sivaji Ganesan) and Ravi (S. S. Rajendran). Ravi leaves his hometown in Tamil Nadu and comes to Amritsar. Here, Raghu finds him in an unconscious state and takes him home. Raghu sacrifices his managerial post and gives it to Ravi. Ravi, however, does not reveal his true identity and the real reason for leaving home. As per his parents wish, Ragu sees a girl to marry.
