This film is an uncredited remake of the 1990 American film Short Time directed by Gregg Champion and written by John Blumenthal and Michael Berry.
Synopsis
The movie is about an average police officer who mistakenly believes he has a fatal disease and is about to die soon. He eyes the insurance payout his family would get if he dies in action and embarks on impossible missions to get himself killed in action. Little does he know that the diagnosis is wrong and he is in fact healthy. The movie comically chronicles his new-found bravado.Acteurs

The story is about Sagar Alias Jacky (Mohanlal) & his accomplice Sekharankutty (Suresh Gopi). Ashwathy (Ambika) is a reporter for a newsmagazine looking to investigate the connection between politics and crime in Kerala. She is drawn to the life of Sagar alias Jacky who runs a clandestine gold smuggling business for Sekharankutty, son of the State Chief Minister.
