Devdas (Shahrukh Khan), surnommé Dev, rentre dans la maison familiale en Inde après avoir terminé ses études de droit en Angleterre. Il y retrouve son amie d'enfance, Parvati (Aishwarya Rai), surnommée Paro. Avant le départ de Devdas, tous deux étaient extraordinairement proches, au point qu'ils semblaient destinés l'un à l'autre depuis toujours. Mais à présent que tous deux sont adultes, les obstacles s'accumulent contre leur union, car Parvati est issue d'un milieu beaucoup plus modeste que celui de Devdas. Viraiah's (Tanikella Bharani) younger son is stolen by Chidambaram (Makrand Deshpande), who abducts children and makes them beggars. He names him as Chotu (Prabhas) and makes him beg on streets to earn money for him. The police raid Chidambaram and Chotu helps the police to find him. The police reward Chotu for helping them. This makes Chotu realise that he can earn money by catching criminals for the police. From then on Chotu works for the police and catches hold of criminals whom the police are in search of and becomes as bounty hunter. Champak Chaturvedi (Paresh Rawal) the director of a theatre group, is offered a chance to perform a show in London. Bunty (Akshay Kumar) and Babla (Govinda) are two derps and flirts in his group, always fighting with each other to get the role of the hero. Their behaviour causes the actress (Tanushree Dutta) to run away. This really upsets the organizer, who offered the chance mainly because of the heroine. After reaching London, Champak tells the duo that whoever gets a new actress will get to become hero. Then Babla asks Gullu (Rajpal Yadav), a local driver where he can find a heroine.
