Bhoopadathil Illatha Oridam (Malayalam: ഭൂപടത്തിൽ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരിടം,English: A place not in the map) is a 2012 Malayalam film written and directed by Joe Chalissery based on the short story "Deshathinte Vijayam" by Sethu. A political satire by genre, the film stars Sreenivasan, Rajsri, Nivin Pauly and Iniya in the lead roles. It released on 14 September and the critical reaction to the film was mostly negative.
Synopsis
Madhavankutty (Sreenivasan) is a schoolmaster in a remote village. He is famous among students and his friends but his wife (Rajsri) keeps complaining about not helping her in house. The village is identity-less as the title suggests. So, when a theft happens in a moneylender's shop, everyone around is baffled. It gives sleepless nights to the panchayat president (Nedumudi Venu) and the police officer in charge of the area (Innocent). As they have no inkling about who the culprit may be, they device a plan to catch someone with a previous record. Madhavankutty is the sole eye witness as the shop is visible from the place where he lives. A major part of the story is devoted to showing how Madhavankutty dodges the pressure tactics of the police and counters their arguments. But after this incident, people start moving away from him and the film is about how the incident changes his life.Acteurs

Ramanujan (Jayaram) meets a software engineer named Jyothi (Soundarya) on the train returning to Chennai. She has been engaged to Dr. Pradeep (Sidhique) for many years. After they arrive in Chennai, Ramanujan asks his best friend Paul (Innocent) to find Jyothi a new home. Jyothi is not married and is therefore unable to legally own a home, so when she receives a home from Paul she lies and tells the owner that she is married to Ramanujan. When she has to leave the home, she stays at Ramanujan's house. They convince the neighbors that they are a couple. Ramanujan falls in love with Jyothi, but he understands that she is already engaged. She returns to Kerala for her engagement, and Ramanujan and Paul both attend the engagement party. Paul gets drunk at the party and tells everyone that Ramanujan and Jyothi were living in a single home together in Chennai, ending Jyothi's relationship and forcing her to marry Ramanujan.
