Sankalpam (English will or determination) is a 1995 Telugu language film produced & directed by A. M. Rathnam on Sri Surya Movies banner. starring Jagapathi Babu, Gautami in the leading roles, with Prakash Raj and Jaya Sudha in pivotal roles. The music was composed by Koti. The film is Prakash Raj's debut in Telugu language. The film was considered a flop at the box office.
Synopsis
The entire story is based around the construction of the Annapurna Biscuit Factory by the young & energetic guy Krishna Murthy (Jagapathi Babu) inspired by his willpower and determination.Acteurs

A kindhearted man, known as "Relangi mavayya" ("Relangi Uncle") by his family, lives in the village of the same name. His middle-class family consists of his wife, mother, niece Seetha and three children: two sons (Peddodu, "the elder" and Chinnodu, "the younger") and a daughter, Chinni. Peddodu is an introvert, who lives life on his own terms and is unsociable. Although Seetha wants to marry him, her love is apparently unrequited. Chinnodu is the opposite of his brother. He falls in love with Geetha, the daughter of Seetha's paternal uncle who is jealous of Chinnodu's father and denigrates his family's economic status. Although the family is close-knit, the brothers do not communicate well with each other.

This is a story set to pre-independence period in India. A village landlord Kanakayya (Rao Gopal Rao) marries Sita (Jayasudha), who is young enough to be his daughter, with the help of village karaNam (Nutan Prasad). However, he restricts her a lot after the marriage. Sita's brother Bangaram (Chalam) comes from the town and eyes Bangari (Reshmi Roy), Kanakayya's deaf and dumb servant Devudu's (Chandramohan) sister. Bangari is in love with Narasimha (Chiranjeevi), another servant of Kanakayya. Bangaram rapes Bangari. Kanakayya suspects that Sita is in love with Devudu, and in a fit of rage, he kills them both one day. People revolt against Kanakayya and kill him at the end.

The film begins with a baby taking his first steps on a beach supported by his father. The narrator (Murali Mohan) states that, it is right for a father to support his child in his infancy, but questions whether the father should continue to hold the child's hand even after he is 24 years old. Ram Babu (Gopichand) is the only son of cute couple Ram Babu & Janaki (Chandramohan & Jayasudha), who have earned so much for their son to lead a happy life without doing any work. In simple, Ram Babu is a vagabond with no work other than roaming on roads with his batch. All of the sudden he meets Nandini (Deeksha Seth), a House Surgeon who saves the life of Janaki when she had a severe heart attack. From the very next moment, Ram Babu falls in love with Nandini to chase her everywhere and make her accept his love but she never reciprocates. Frustrated Ram Babu beats up the goons for teasing Nandini and asks her what else he can do, in order to win her love. Nandini shocks Ram Babu by asking him to kill local drug don Basava Reddy (Prakash Raj) and his family members to win her hand. No logics, Ram Babu sets on the action scenes but flash back of Nandini is revealed by Commissioner (Ahuti Prasad).
