Aadhityan is a 1993 Tamil drama film directed by V. L. Bashkaraaj. The film features R. Sarathkumar and Sukanya in lead roles. The film had musical score by Gangai Amaran and was released on 14 January 1993.
Synopsis
Aadhityan is an orphan village blacksmith, whereas the villagers consider him as a rude ruffian. The neighboring Zamindar (Kitty) forces the villagers to leave the village and they land in Aadhityan's village. Aadhityan helps them and clashes with Zamindar. In the meantime, Chinna Pandi (Pandiarajan), a Tamil teacher, is engaged to teach Tamil to the Telugu girl Manga (Silk Smitha). Zamindar finally accept the villagers in his village. Vedachellam (Delhi Ganesh) is a gambling addict who borrows money to Zamindar. Zamindar wants to get his son Vinod married to Vedachellam's daughter Rasathi (Sukanya). Under debts, Vedachellam accepts reluctantly Zamindar's proposal. Chinna Pandi advises Vedachellam, to save the village, to get Aadhityan married with Rasathi. The drunk Aadhityan tie the thaali around Rasathi's neck. Now, Rasathi is married to Aadhityan but she hates him.Acteurs

Kannappa Rao (Raghuvaran), a powerful mafia lord, and his sons Vijaya (Rocky) and Jaya (Devan) spread terror around them. They are known for grabbing lands. One day, Vijaya and Jaya threatens Ramasamy (Sarath Babu) to give his land in which there is an orphanage but Ramasamy refuses categorically. Ramasamy was brutally killed in front of Gowri (Ranjitha). The information reaches his brother Shiva (R. Sarathkumar) who is a short-tempered soldier. His superiors reject his request to leave the military camp so Shiva fled the camp. In the past, Shiva was in love with Uma (Sukanya) but she died in plane crash. Later, Shiva complains against Kannappa Rao and he hires the lawyer Lakshmi Narayanan (Janagaraj). Lakshmi Narayanan's daughter Gowri, who is dumb, becomes the eyewitness of the case. What transpires next forms the rest of the story.

The film begins with Azhagiri (Vijayakanth) in serious condition in hospital because he was shot by the police. In the past, Azhagiri was a military officer and got married with Raasathi (Gouthami). After spending few years in military camp, Azhagiri rejoined his wife and his daughter. They shifted to Ramu's house, Ramu (R. Sarathkumar) was his friend and his superior Chakravarthy's son. Few years ago, Ramu teased Raasathi and he was beaten for this act along with his friends Vishwanath (Vishwanath) and Vijay (Vijay Krishnaraj). They cannot forget the humiliation. They tried to rape Raasathi but she committed suicide before. Azhagiri first killed Vishwanath in a public place. Azhagiri was arrested and sentenced to the death penalty. The day before his penalty, he escaped from the jail but the police found him and shot him. Azhagiri is now cured and sees Vijay in the hospital's bed. As last wish, Azhagiri begged the police to stay in the hospital for few more days. Azhagiri also killed Vijay smoothly without anyone suspect him. Azhagiri manages to escape from the hospital with the nurse's help. Azhagiri is now determinated to kill Ramu before the police catches him.

Raghavan (Sarathkumar) and Velu (Vadivelu) work as cooks in a non-veg hotel. Badri (Vijay) is the youngest son of a family and a careless guy, always going around girls and enjoying with them. His womanizing habits are a source of heartburn for his father (Kitty). However, his elder brother, Vetri (Riyaz Khan), a kickboxer and his father's favourite son, is very fond of him. Janu (Bhumika Chawla), Badri's neighbour, is in love with him, but it is just one sided as Badri considers her a good friend and a source of money and cars to impress girls (Janu's father is a garage owner). He falls in love with Mamathi (Monal), a rich girl, and poses as a rich guy to impress her. However, she soon finds out Badri has lied to her. Mamathi dumps Badri and insults him in front of his father. Badri's father, tired of his son's antics, disowns him. Later Vetri is attacked by his enemies and is bedridden, unable to take part in the kickboxing championship. Badri decides to fight for his brother and to redeem himself in his father's eyes by fighting in the championship match against Rohit (Bhupinder Singh), who happens to be Mamathi's new boyfriend. He defeats Rohit, redeems himself in front of his father's eyes and finally accepts Janu's love.
