Akkare is a 1984 Indian Malayalam film, directed and produced by KN Sasidharan. The film stars Nedumudi Venu, Bharath Gopi, Madhavi and Mohanlal in lead roles.
Synopsis
Thahasildar Gopi is living a moderate life. He is a well-respected person of the place and has no great difficulty in caring his wife and children. One day a person from Gulf named Johny arrives the place. His ways of making a living in the Gulf is not dealt in detail. But it is assumed that he is not enjoying a very good life there. Because of his wife’s compulsion Thahasildar Gopi decides to meet him with a plan to board for Gulf. There with Johny’s counsel he starts learning typewriting. Later another person named Ismail also arrives from Gulf. From Ismail Gopi understands that people who learned typewriting do not have good job opportunities there because of many reasons including companies started recruiting Arabs as employers instead of foreigners. He in turn suggests Gopi to learn sewing which he thinks will fetch job for the Thahasildar. The Thahasildar arranges some sacks of cements for Isamail in between as a token of thanks. Thahasildar’s wife Padmavathi meanwhile compel him to procure a visa for him from people like Johny and Ismail. While learning sewing at a man’s house he is happened to fall into an illicit relationship with the daughter of the man who teaches him sewing. One night when the father is not at home Gopi happens to come to the house and sways for the sexual advances of the daughter. That night he is caught by the local people mistaking him as a thief while he is running from the house to catch a thief whom he sees just passes by. In the police station he is identified as the Thahasildar and the police sets him free after taking him to the hospital. Now Thahasildar has lost his prestige and good name in the society. Later or on the next day his wife’s brother Sudhan who also arrives from the Gulf tells him the real condition abroad. In his understanding a person who is willing to do almost all kinds of jobs like that of a head load worker's can dream of getting a job in the Gulf. Thahasildar is disappointed to hear this news. Next day he gets a letter telling he is suspended from his job because of a prima facie case against him. As he lost his job now he is forced to become a head load worker to help him and his family just as Sudhan said. In the end Gopi who is now a head load worker accidentally happens to work for Johny who, this time is returning from the Gulf. In this climax scene Gopi is portrayed as a toy which Sudhan gifted to his niece.Acteurs

The plot of the film is about corruption in India. It opens with Gopi Krishnan (Sreenivasan) and his wife (Devayani) and daughter Dhanya (Nazriya Nazim) enjoying themselves at Kutralam Waterfalls. Soon it is revealed that Gopi Krishnan is a corrupt assistant town planner using a government vehicle to come on holiday in Tamil Nadu during his duty hours. The story revolves around Manikyan (Mohanlal), Sreekrishnan(Nedumudi Venu) and Karthumbi (Shobana) and the love triangle between them. The Harikrishnans (Mammootty and Mohanlal) are one of the most famous lawyer duos in India. To avoid confusion one is called as Hari (Mammooty) and the other as Krishnan (Mohanlal). They head the organization called Harikrishnan Associates, which consists of around 300 lawyers. They get engaged in a murder case of Guptan, who was allegedly killed by Gabriel. Gabriel is a friend of Hari's sister and Harikrishnans become the defense lawyers upon her request. Harikrishnans begin investigation and come across Meera (Juhi Chawla), a friend of Guptan. Both of them fall in love with her. After some trouble over the matter, they rediscover their friendship and get involved in the case again. They discover that Guptan actually died due to poisoning by his relatives who were doctors. At the end Meera decides to go for a random method of choosing her lover as she liked both Harikrishnans equally. Two different climaxes of the film show either of Harikrishnans winning the toss for being Meera's friend; the losing person presumably becoming Meera's lover.

Sivaraman (Mohanlal), an unemployed man, comes to Mumbai to find a job. Unfortunately he loses all his certificates but happens to find Govindan Kutty (Mukesh), who also is a jobless man (from Sivaraman's native place) wandering in Mumbai. They try to get visa from a travel agency but finds no way to gather such massive amount. Govindan Kutty persuades Sivaraman to participate in a bank robbery planned by Thomas (Cochin Haneefa) and his gang - his stammering brother Tyootty (Jagadish) and Alina (who pretends to be Thomas' lover) - which puts them in more trouble as the robbery ends in vain when they hit Pothuval (Innocent). Alina secretly informs the police about the robbery and tells that the entire plan was carried out by Thomas. Thomas, before getting arrested, hides the money, and the place is kept secret except to his lawyer, Nambeeshan (Jagathy Sreekumar). Alina fakes to be in love with Nambeeshan to find the place where the money is hidden.
