Directed by Parasuram, and with music by Thaman, produced by Ganesh Babu, the film was released on 14 August 2009. It was dubbed into Hindi as Sher Dil (2010).
Synopsis
Employed with HMTV, Pavan/Abhimanyu lives in Hyderabad and is in constant touch with his retired father, Krishnamurthy, and mother. His boss, Sudarshan Babu, hires a Creative Consultant, Surya/Prabhakar Garu, their TV channel undergoes a number of changes, and he gets to interview various people. He meets with Anjali, an employee with Airtel, and both dramatically fall in love. While investigating corrupt politicians, he comes across evidence and decides to join the gang of a gangster named Bada. Still involved in gathering evidence, his world will come crashing around him when he will be told that his parents and many others have been killed after their bus was torched by hooligans.Acteurs

Nanda Gopal a.k.a. Nandu (Mahesh Babu) is a professional assassin, and Malli (Sonu Sood) is his partner. State level opposition party leader Shiva Reddy (Sayaji Shinde) wants someone to attempt an assassination on him so that he can gain sympathy votes in the upcoming elections and become the new Chief Minister after promoting his party in such conditions. His colleague Baji Reddy (Kota Srinivasa Rao) with the help of Farooq (Posani Krishna Murali) hooks him up with Nandu for a deal for ₹1.5 crores. After receiving the payment, Nandu and Malli plan the fake assassination attempt at the promotion campaign held nearby and they choose a nearby building to hide and a car to escape. However, before Nandu can shoot Shiva Reddy, someone else fatally shoots him. Within minutes, police surround the building. Just before the exit of the building, a big car accident occurs on the street with Nandu's car. Nandu assumes that Malli got trapped and died in the accident. So Nandu goes to the top of the skyscraper. With the police behind him and in front of him, he is helpless. Suddenly a train comes and Nandu uses a rope to jump from the skyscraper to the train. On the train, Nandu meets Pardhasaradhi a.k.a. Pardhu (Rajiv Kanakala) and travels with him.

Shyam Prasad (Shaam) is an honest ACP who comes into conflict with the local don, Dhanraj (Rahul Dev). The film begins in Nallur, a small village in Thoothukudi district in southern Tamil Nadu. Duraisingam (Suriya), is the honest police sub inspector of Nallur, assisted by his bumbling colleague Erimalai (Vivek). He belongs to Nallur with his father having a respectable status in the village. His family business is provision stores and Duraisingam wants to join it, but he joined police due to his father's wishes. He resolves most of the problems in his village with non-violence and mutual counselling. Shankar is an orphan raised by a sincere police officer Raja Rao. In an unexpected situation, Raja Rao's son Bharath kills a kid and Shankar takes the blame on him and is imprisoned while Raja Rao warns him not to meet him again. Years later Shankar is a CI who is referred as 'Encounter' Shankar because of his track record as an encounter specialist. He is posted to Bukkapatnam town in Tadipatri, Ananthapuram and is assigned the task of ending the illegal businesses of a dreaded local don Damodar whose dream project is to build a power plant. Using his clever mind, Shankar destroys all the three main businesses of Damodar by trapping the respective in-charges of those businesses. He brings a stay on the power project by bringing few vital witnesses. On a parallel note, Shankar loves a sweet shop owner named Saroja who reciprocates his love at a later point of time.
