Darling (Devanagari: डार्लिंग), is a Bollywood horror thriller, released in India and United Kingdom on 7 September 2007. The film, which stars Esha Deol, Fardeen Khan and Isha Koppikar in the lead roles, was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. It was filmed in Mumbai, India. The soundtrack score was composed by Pritam. The film reportedly grossed Rs. 22 million in the first week.

Synopsis

Aditya is seemingly living every Indian man's dream. He's married to a stunning, traditional wife, Ashwini and has a bright young boy. But he is having a relationship with his secretary, Geeta Menon who has a wild personality. He manages to balance both the ladies perfectly with clever lies. He promises Geeta he will marry her, after divorcing his wife Ashwini. He seems to display fetish behaviours among the two ladies.

The film begins with the brutal murder of a Mumbai man named John by a group of Gangsters led by ruthless Kingpin Bappu Ganesh (Upendra Limaye) who terrorizes the slums of Mumbai striking fear into the heart of slum-dwellers. As time goes on, Babbu becomes more and more powerful, until he manages to seize power from the Government of Maharashtra and make himself Chief Minister of the state. As Chief Minister, Babbu is able to seize all of Maharashtra's money and launder it stripping the people of their wealth. Shiva Swarassi (Mohit Alawat) is a poor slum-dweller who, after watching his parents being brutally murdered by Bappu's men, decides that it's time to get rid of Bappu. He gets the people of Dharavi Slum in Mumbai together and forms a rebellion against Bappu promising that he will avenge his deceased parents and kill Bappu.

A film unit goes for a shoot in a forest, but breaks down deep in the jungle. Abhinav décroche son premier rôle et devient vite célèbre tandis que Reva ne décroche toujours aucun contrat. Cette situation crée la discorde dans le nouveau couple, d’autant plus que les ambitions artistiques de chacun diffèrent : Reva souhaite être reconnue pour son talent et ne veut travailler que sur des projets novateurs, loin des chorégraphies habituelles de Bollywood. Abhinav ne recherche que la célébrité sans se soucier des rôles qu’il doit interpréter. La séparation arrive lorsque Reva refuse l’aide d’Abhinav pour décrocher enfin un contrat.

Phoonk is based upon the concept of black magic. Civil engineer and atheist Rajiv (Sudeep) lives in Mumbai with his family of wife Aarti (Amruta Khanvilkar) and two kids, Raksha (Ahsaas Channa) and Rohan (Shrey Bawa), with Rajiv's mother and the housemaid Laxmi(Anu Ansari). Rajiv's most trusted colleagues are Anshuman (Kenny Desai) and Madhu (Ashwini Kalsekar), whom everyone, including Rajiv's friend Vinay and Raksha feel are not normal. At a party at his house, when he comes to know that the husband and wife duo have cheated him on a valuable contract for an IT firm in Delhi, Rajiv fires both of them after insulting them both. Humiliated and angry at this, the two of them decide to take revenge on Rajiv. Madhu notes that Rajiv is very fond of Raksha.
