The film released on 18 May 2007, and received positive critical response upon its release. Despite its low popularity, the film managed to do well at the box office and turned out to be an surprise hit according to critics. It has been referred to as an cult classic in Bollywood cinema.
Synopsis
The story revolves around two people who miss the last local train at 1:40 am and how it changes the course of their lives forever. The protagonist Nilesh (Abhay Deol) works in a call centre firm cultivated by the IT industry. Night shifts, booze, after office parties seem to be the order of the day. When Nilesh misses his last train from Kurla to Vikroli, he is rudely shoved off by a police constable who wants to keep the station clean from anti-social elements. Nowhere to go, he strolls outside for an auto-rickshaw, where he bumps into a beautiful damsel in distress, Madhu (Neha Dhupia), also wanting a ride to Vikhroli. As it turns out, the rickshaws are on strike due to a bomb blast earlier in the day. Nilesh and Madhu are forced to walk to the next rickshaw stand.Acteurs

Film is set in one winter night in Delhi where a middle class, Delhi university guy falls in love with a girl anchoring a fashion show. New York begins in the United States in 2008, with the arrest by the FBI of Omar Aijaz (Neil Nitin Mukesh) after guns were found in the trunk of a taxi cab he owned. Omar, a young Muslim man originally from Delhi, is then taken into custody and interrogated by FBI Agent Roshan (Irrfan Khan) (also a Muslim man originally from South Asia who has been living in the United States for twenty years). Omar then discovers that he was set up by the FBI in order to force him to spy on a former college friend, Samir Shaikh (John Abraham), whom he hasn't seen in seven years and who the FBI believes is a terrorist. In the process, Omar discovers that Sam has married Maya (Katrina Kaif) (a mutual friend whom Omar had a crush on in university) and finds out that Samir and Maya have a young son, Danyal (Aidan Wagner).
