Ajay Sharma (Dharmendra), is a Police Inspector of notable wealth. He is happily married to Asha (Rekha) with two children. Many a times he goes out of his work area to destructively capture dangerous criminals and inadvertently falls under disciplinary warning with his concerned superiors. After repeated warnings he is discharged from the Police force. He decides to go back to his boyhood town by joining his father (Madan Puri) in the family business. They are living happily. However a notable Criminal going by the name of Rocky (Shakti Kapoor) and his uncle (Pinchoo Kapoor) trace Ajay to his home town and decide to set up a casino. Past its grand opening, Ajay and his friend Albert (Jalal Agha) visit the casino and fall under a confrontation with the gamekeeper and management when they are cheated during the game. During the fight, Albert is killed and Ajay is seriously wounded.

Bharti, a law student, lives with her widower and blind dad. Ravi Shankar Singh is a singer and dancer; Bharti is a fan of him and never misses his music concerts. One day Bharti is shocked to see Ravi being arrested by the police. She finds out that Ravi has confessed to the killing of a man, Rana Singh, and will soon be hanged. Bharti attends Ravi's last concert, but Ravi abducts her and forcibly marries her. After the marriage, Ravi is arrested and appears in court. It is revealed that Ravi and Bharti had conspired together to overturn Ravi's death penalty to life imprisonment, but the court is still not convinced and upholds Ravi's death penalty. Ravi's innocence or guilt is revealed in the climax.

Arjun Poojari lives in a small village with his mother, father and unmarried sister. The entire village is ruled by Bade Thakur Jagawar Choudhry and the Villagers are grateful for all the work he has done for the village. One day Arjun finds out that Jagawar's younger brother Vikram, had attempted to molest his sister, So he beats Vikram and takes him to Jagawar. In front of everyone, Jagawar slaps him and asks him to seek forgiveness from Arjun and his sister. Arjun revolts and turns a dreaded Dacoit and his only mission is to kill all the Choudhry brothers. Now Vishal Choudhry becomes a Police Inspector and is transferred in that Village, but is not able to stop Arjun killing Vikram. As the brothers were in shock, Arjun also kills Vishal. Thus the brothers seek police protection and hires a hit-man named Devaa - a dangerous man who would never fail in his mission.
