Synopsis
The wealthy Malhotra family consists of dad, Vikram, his wife, and son, Raj. They would like Raj to get married to their friend, Ishwarchand Mangatram Gore's only U.S. based daughter, Simran. But Raj is intent on finding his very own soul-mate - which he does in his sister's tutor, Asha, who comes from a poor family, and is refusing to accept any advances from him. On the other hand, Simran too refuses to marry Raj, as she is in love with Sameer, an up-coming singer. When Simran is summoned to India, and introduced to Raj, both plan to get their marriage canceled, and succeed. While both attempt to woo their sweethearts, they find that Sameer is Asha's betrothed. Both Simran and Raj must now come up with a plan so separate the two - and thus marry the partners of their choice.Acteurs

Bharti, a law student, lives with her widower and blind dad. Ravi Shankar Singh is a singer and dancer; Bharti is a fan of him and never misses his music concerts. The story is about an orphan named Raju (Salman Khan) a business man in India. His mother died when he was very young, his father had already left him. At work, Raju witnesses Rajesh Mittal (Rishi Kapoor) winning an award on TV. Raju realises that Rajesh is none other than his dad, and leaves immediately for London. Raju gives Rajesh eight days to break the news to his family and call Raju his son or he’ll tell the family himself. After he leaves, Rajesh gets afraid, and hires gangsters to attack him. On his way out, Raju gets beat up by the hired gangsters, though later rescued by Shera (Sanjay Dutt), also an Indian living in London. He saves Raju from getting beat up, and helps him as well.

Munna est tombé amoureux de Jhanvi, une animatrice de radio dont il ne connaît que la voix. Pour célébrer l'anniversaire de la naissance du Mahatma Gandhi, Jhanvi organise un concours dont le premier prix sera de participer à son émission dans les studios de la radio. Munna ne peut pas laisser passer une aussi belle occasion de rencontrer enfin Jhanvi. Le sujet du concours porte sur la vie de Gandhi. Munna n'a qu'une vague idée de qui il s'agit, mais ce n'est pas un problème : il fait kidnapper les plus grands spécialistes de Mumbai pour répondre à sa place aux questions... Et il gagne ! Emporté par l'enthousiasme lorsqu'il rencontre Jhanvi, il se présente en tant que professeur d'histoire, grand connaisseur de la vie de Gandhi. Et quand Jhanvi lui propose d'animer une conférence, il accepte avant de réaliser qu'il n'aura que cinq jours pour maîtriser son sujet. Il se précipite alors vers la première bibliothèque qu'il trouve et se plonge dans les livres. Quelques nuits blanches plus tard, Gandhi lui apparaît. Le médecin qu'il consulte a du mal à se prononcer, mais finalement Munna s'accommode de cette présence qu'il est le seul à distinguer. Et Munna, désormais accompagné par le Mahatma Gandhi, donne la conférence pour laquelle il s'était engagé, puis devient coprésentateur de l'émission de Jhanvi. Les conseils qu'il promulgue, dictés par Gandhi, font le bonheur des auditeurs. Cependant, Gandhi devient exigeant. Il aimerait bien que Munna laisse de côté ses combines habituelles, mais aussi qu'il révèle à Jhanvi ses véritables activités.
