Kovai Brothers is a 2006 Tamil-language comedy film released in India. The film stars Tamil comedians Sathyaraj, Sibiraj, Vadivelu, Uma, Kovai Sarala and Namitha. The film was dubbed in Telugu as "Pokiri Brothers".
Synopsis
Kovai Brothers movie tells Ganesh (Satyaraj) and Vasanth (Sibiraj) who are friends come to Chennai to take revenge on the killers of Uma who is Ganesh's niece and Vasanth's girlfriend. Ganesh and Vasanth stay with Ekadasi (Vadivelu). The duo then works in a television channel that exposes corruption in the society.Acteurs

Sabapathy (Sathyaraj) is a widower cinema theatre owner and a school owner, he treats his son Sakthi (Sibiraj) like his friend. The movie begins at Pachai Theevu, ruled by a mighty king (Narasimha Raju). His son and prince Jagathalapradhapan (Raja) is a valourous youth who sets out on a mission to capture pirates in the sea. The film starts with Tamizharasu (Sathyaraj), a reformist entering a village with the intention to unite a couple and help a young girl Sandhya (Madhumitha) who aspires to be a singer. There, he faces the anger of Sandhya’s father (Kaadhal Dhandapani), who is a strong believer of older ideologies. But, Sandhya hates Tamizharasu and the reason for that is told in a flashback. The flashback starts with Maheshwari (Namitha), wife of Sathyaraj, aspiring to be a sports champion. Sathyaraj motivates and helps her. Due to some family problems, Maheswari commits suicide after making her husband promise to help her sister to become a popular singer. The rest of the film is how he fulfills the promise.

Thirupathi (Vadivelu), Ezhumalai (S. Ve. Shekher) and Venkatesa (Prabhu) are poor friends who tried to become rich. Nachiappan (Venniradai Moorthy), a bungalow watchman, has three daughters : Lalitha (Kovai Sarala), Padmini (Urvashi) and Ragini (Roja). When his owner left the bungalow on vacation, Nachiappan's daughters decide to live there. Then, Nachiappan rents his owner's top portion bungalow to Thirupathi, Ezhumalai and Venkatesa who lied about their job. The three men finally get married with the three women.
