It is the third film by Jeethu Joseph. The film is produced by East Coast Vijayan under the banner of East Coast Communications. It was filmed in Mumbai and various locales in Kerala.
The film is a loose remake of the 2009 Hollywood film The Proposal. The film is set in the backdrop of the IT industry. The film follows Manu Varma (Dileep) who's hired as the executive assistant in a leading firm in Bombay who aspires to migrate to a foreign country while Priya Nair (Mamta), his boss, an Indian born Australian citizen has visa problems at a time when she has the opportunity to get a promotion. This leads Priya to get into a fake marriage with Manu to stay in India. My Boss released in Kerala on 10 November 2012 to positive reviews and was declared a hit.
Synopsis
Manu Varma (Dileep) lands in Bombay to join an IT firm Quadra Infortek as executive assistant to C.M.O Priya.S. Nair (Mamta Mohandas). He has a B Tech degree and passed with distinction in 2004 but has no work experience until 2013. Priya is shocked seeing his reports and his distinction and asks why chose this job and he says it's because of family problems. Manu's boss Priya is a witch of a woman, an Australian citizen. She abuses her subordinates verbally and pulls them up for the slightest mistake. Manu Varma works his heart out for three months under his cruel boss. Manu Varma is ably supported by an 'all in one' errand boy, Ali. Manu gets his chance to hit back at his boss when she has visa issues and is expecting a promotion to company head.Acteurs

Josutty (Dileep) is the son of Joseph and Shoshamma. He belongs to a middle class traditional Christian farmer family in Kattappana, Idukki. As a child he desired is to become a priest. But eventually he falls in love with Jessy (Rachana Narayanankutty), his neighbor and childhood friend. Josutty is a sixth standard dropout. This disqualification becomes a barrier for him to marry her. Josutty's family was in deep debt and had sisters who where of age to marry off, yielding to the advice from his friends and relatives he agrees to marry Rose (Jyothi Krishna), a divorcee nurse settled in New Zealand. Soon after the marriage, he immigrates to New Zealand with his wife. Upon reaching there, Josutty's life turns upside down. Rose's bipolar affections confuses Josutty and later he finds out his wife is pursuing an extramarital life with her former boyfriend. All of a sudden he realizes, he is a "total square" and that everything he believed to be true throughout life was wrong and he vows to make money. His friend Priya and Devassy helps him to run a restaurant and he slowly grows economically. He falls for Priya and works for 9 years in New Zealand. After his father's death he goes back to Kattappana facing repressed realities of emptiness in his life from the passing away of his mother, father and close friend. There he meets a door to door sales woman(Nayantara) and marries her and vows to have more children than his first love and neighbor Jessy with the intend to "live life to the fullest".

Sam Alex (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is a police officer who is heavily dependent on alcoholism to ease the pain of his family loss. Sam Alex was a romantic and peaceful family guy, leading a good life with his family. His loving wife Teena and beloved daughter were murdered by Sam's enemy right in front of his eyes, and as a result, Sam turns into an alcoholic. Sam's supervisor, Mr. Aravindhaksha Menon (Vijayaraghavan) requests Sam to proceed with a parallel investigation in a case involving the disappearance and possible kidnapping of several young married men, since the present police team is not able to make any progress in the case. Sam refuses to this. Later, his mother (Vanitha Krishnachandran)requests him to take up the investigation. Sam Alex soon gets into the case files and consults the postmortem documents and the doctors who conducted it. Soon Sam Alex is seen making breakthrough in the case. Another two kidnappings happen in the series and all this leads to Sam's rough conclusion of the murderer. The murderer is an eccentric person and has a limp in his feet and is a person who either hates or loves women. The killer leaves certain clues inscribed by sharp surgical knife on the chest of the victims. This serves Sam's thinking of what kind of person the killer is and who is his next target. Upon careful examination of the words inscribed in the body of the victims, Sam uncovers that the words are actually Aramaic, the language that Jesus used for communication. The words are later found to point to biblical proverbs,thus helping Sam to lead to conclusions that the killer is insane and that he assumed that the victims gave up their lives for the sins committed by their respective wives. He soon figures out that the wives of the kidnapped husbands have links and they all had to do with a guy who studied with them certain years back. There was absolutely no evidence of such a person. During all these scenes, Sam realizes that there is one last target and the killer will not miss this and he will disappear after that. He eventually finds out that the next target is his own brother, Sanju and his brother's wife is the last link in the connection. Sam finds out with the help of his colleague and other evidences that the killer has a property near Kottayam. The film ends with Sam Alex using his presence of mind, apprehending the murderer (like how Alex Cross gets the killer in Kiss the Girls (film)) and saving his brother's life.
