Raktha Kanneeru (English: Blood Tears) is a 2003 Kannada film directed by Sadhu Kokila and starring Upendra and Ramya Krishnan in the lead roles. The film was produced by Munirathna and was simultaneously made in Kannada and Telugu. It was a remake of the 1954 Tamil film Ratha Kanneer starring M. R. Radha The screenplay and dilogues of the film were written by Upendra and the music was composed by Sadhu Kokila.

Upon release, the film broke all opening box office records in Karnataka. It was the highest-grossing film of the year 2003. The film was followed by a semi sequel titled Katari Veera Surasundarangi released in 2012.

Rudra (Upendra) is an orphan. He grows up in the graveyard. He is very innocent by nature but has a lot of strength like a demon. One day he goes into the village. But the people shun him and ask him to return to the graveyard. But a village girl Parvathi (Sanghavi) befriend him and helps him out. The village chief ( Ramaraju) and a drug peddler use Rudra to peddle drugs. Rudra is caught in a drug peddling case and is put into prison. At this time Sathya (Darshan) joins him in jail after being framed in a false case. Sathya and Rudra become very close friends and share a special bond with each other. Sathya helps Rudra with a lot of things but is unfortunately murdered by the village chief and the drug peddler and they implicate Rudra in the murder case. This enrages Rudra and he takes on the evil men and avenges Sathya's death. After that he goes back to his home - the graveyard.

Surya (Darshan) and Vidya (Reema Vohra) are orphan siblings who are mistreated by the local goons. They are left to earn their living by begging on the streets. Based on Ira Levin's 1953 novel A Kiss Before Dying, it is a contemporary thriller about revenge. The main character is Ajay Sharma (Upendra). His father, Vishwanath Sharma (Sadhu Kokila), once owner of a great business empire, was defrauded by Madan Chopra (Dalip Tahil), a trusted employee in Vishwanath's company. The Sharma family is ousted from their own company and loses everything they owned. Soon afterwards, Ajay's father and his young baby sister die due to illness, unable to buy medicine because of their destitute state. His mother is now suffering from mental illness and memory loss. Driven over the edge, Ajay becomes obsessed with killing Chopra and destroying his family.
