Seetharamaiah Gari Manavaralu (English: Seetharamaiah's Granddaughter) is a 1991 Telugu Drama film directed by Kranthi Kumar. Akkineni Nageswara Rao played the role of Seetharamaiah, and Meena played his granddaughter Seeta.The film was show cased among the Indian panorama section, at the 1991 International Film Festival of India. The film was made under the banner VMC Productions.The film won 3 Filmfare Awards & 4 Nandi Awards. Plot was developed from a telugu novella Navvina kanneelle written by manasa.
It is remade in Hindi language as Udhaar Ki Zindagi in 1994. Kajol played the title role. The movie was also remade into Kannada Belli Modagalu directed by K V Raju in 1993 which was a blockbuster hit. Malashri played the grand daughter role with Doddanna as grandfather and Ramesh Aravind as the heroine's cousin and love interest.

Justice Ram Mohan Rao (ANR) is a retired honest judge who lives with a joint family. His wife Parvathi (Rohini Hattangadi) hates her husband since he made the police find his second son Venu (Brahmaji) who was a wanted Naxalite. Actually, Ram Mohan Rao thought he could make Venu, surrender to police but accidentally Venu dies in Police encounter. Parvathi blames Ram Mohan Rao as the murderer and stops speaking to him from that day. They have two more sons and one daughter. ACP Madhu (Sarath Babu) their elder son, who acts nice before Ram Mohan Rao, but really is a money-minded and corrupted officer in general, and Ravi (Jagapathi Babu) their third son, whom Ram Mohan Rao thinks is a slacker that wastes time with his friends (Ali, Sudhakar, and others). This is all true however, he always fights for justice. Ravi messes with Rani (Aamani), a cranky laborer until they eventually both fall in love with each other.

There are two brothers called Bommana Brothers (Allari Naresh and Krishna Bhagavaan) who were thieves by profession and their parents (Tanikella Bharani and Kovai Sarala) always encourage them to do thefts as they too practise the same. This story is dependent on the mother sentiment. The story is very simple. Hero’s mother lived a very royal life in a great palace as her husband was Jameendar that time. But later she lost her property due to some circumstances and she also lost her husband. And left that palace along with 2 year old kid (Ali).From that moment, she has been living a normal life. One fine day, Ali happens to listen the entire story of her mother and decides there itself to make his mother happy by purchasing the same palace for her mother. So he does lots of mischievous things to earn money. Bringing Yamadharmaraja, lord of Naraka, to Earth is part of that. The story ends up with a good climax. The comedy scenes of Yama(Satyanarayana) and chitragupta(Bramhanandham) are most hilarious. Their conversation with the local police is most memorable hilarious comedy. Music is excellent. This movie is musical hit. All songs in this movie have become most popular. This is also a good movie for children. Totally, this is a good family entertainment.
