The movie sketches through the life of an Army Man enriched with so many emotional sequences. Brigadier Rajashekharan Nambiar is a strict and tough officer in Indian Army. Dr. Sunny is his neighbor in native now he is in Army too. Susanna is a typical Army Nurse who has so much liabilities which hooks her down. Movie starts as a flash back. Rajashekaran gets a call from hospital saying that Susanna's health conditions are getting bad. He goes to convent where his daughter (Manju Warrior) studies. He takes her to mother. On the way he opens the hidden memories about Susanna, whereas he told her she was no more. The Movie goes to climax with the revealing of the flash back. Rajashekharan was a a strict officer but weak hearted to woman. He always flirts with nurses and other who are in the camps. Also he was a drunken man and a massive smoker. One day he see Susan on and tries the same. But she don't pay attention to him. Which makes him more intense to her. Later he manages Sunny to convince her. They got married. Rajashekharan was from a royal family, so his family members not much interested with new spouse. When the time passes they gets closer to her. Meanwhile new irritations starts to bud in between new couple. Even after one year they don't have a child. Rajshekharan gets hard to her, she tries to suicide, but survives. He understands his guilty and the story again goes good, they have a baby girl. too. When all are going good some unexpected tragedies blasts the story lines. , 2h30

The film is set in the Middle-East in the pre-Islam period. It is about the adventures of a lively and intelligent slave girl named Daya (Manju Warrier). Mansoor (Krishna), the son of an aging and wealthy nobleman, is used to an extravagant way of life. Squandering his wealth after his father's death, he is forsaken by all his friends, except the loyal slave girl, Daya, who suggests that she be sold at the slave market for an exorbitant price. The envoys of the King interrupt the sale and take Daya to court, where she is showered with gifts. The King also allows her to live with Mansoor. But wild adventures never leave her alone, and she is forced to masquerade as a man. As a man she travels to another kingdom. She intelligently escapes from bandits in a powerful horse riding scene. She goes to another kingdom where the king is searching for a loyal minister. She in the disguise of a man passes all the difficult tests like an archery competition and a sword fighting duel. She lets herself get defeated by the king in a chess match and impresses the king. The king makes her the minister. The king's daughter gets infatuated by her thinking she is a man. She as the minister intelligently takes revenge on everyone who betrayed her. She finally meets a confessional Mansoor and decides to elope with him while the king is planning her marriage with the princess. The king finds out the truth and decides to punish Daya - a woman who dared to challenge men. The people support Daya's wisdom and finally gives her forgiveness., 2h13

Pakal Nakshatrangal tells the story of Siddharthan (Mohanlal), narrated by Siddharthan's son Adi (Anoop Menon) to his wife (Lakshmi Gopalaswamy)as the content of his new book. Siddharthan is a brilliant film maker but leads a Casanova lifestyle entwined with women, alcohol and drugs.
