Chitra Shaji Kailas, popularly known as Annie is an Indian film actress. Her career spanned a total of three years with sixteen films in Malayalam cinema.

Her debut role was in Balachandra Menon's Ammayane Sathyam (1993). Her well known films include Mazhayethum Munpe (1995), Parvathy Parinayam (1995), Tom & Jerry (1995), Puthukkottayile Puthumanavalan (1995), and Swapna Lokathe Balabhaskaran (1996). She gave up acting after getting married to director Shaji Kailas, and is now settled in Thiruvananthapuram. Now recently she started a show Annie's kitchen .
She won Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam for her role in Mazhayethum Munpe.

Balabhaskaran (Jayaram) suffers from sleepwalking. He walks long distances in the night and many mishaps happen during this. He is blamed for a murder by his friend Johnie (Madhupal) who wants to extort some money from Balabaskar by blackmailing him. Chandappan Gurukkal (Narendra Prasad) and Chathukutty Bhagavathar (Nedumudi Venu) are brothers who are popularly known as Alanchery Thamprakkal. Hailing from feudal family, both enjoy a strong reputation in the village. Both have five sons each, and they share a strong bonding. While Gurukal and sons are experts in Kalaripayattu and other martial arts, Bhagavathar and sons are famous musicians. Meera (Annie), a teenage girl arrives at the village along with Retd.Captain Mukundan Menon (Rajan P. Dev), her grandfather and starts residing at the house of Bhagavathar on rent. She claims to Bhagavathar that she is the daughter of Karthu, his old lover, who was forced to leave the village long back for being pregnant with his daughter. Meera also adds that she is now back to meet her father and would like him to accept as her daughter. After consulting with Gurukkal, he decides to accept her as his daughter. But at the same time another person arrives, claiming himself as Bhagavathar's son. But when beaten severely by Bhagavathar's sons, he spells out the truth that he is a drama actor and has arrived for money. In the meantime, Unni (Dileep), son of Gurukkal falls in love with Meera and both Gurukkal and Bhagavathar decides to get her married to him. While things are moving smoothly, Keshu Varma (Shivaji) arrives at village claiming that Meera is none other than his daughter Lekha Varma, who had escaped from a mental hospital along with Syriac John another patient. Thamprakkal are adamant that they won't let Varma to take Meera away. But Varma warns that he will be back in a week to take her away. On questioning, Meera accepts the truth that she is the daughter of Varma and had escaped from a mental hospital along with Syriac John. Keshu varma is her mother's secon husband, who wanted to kill her to snatch away all the properties. She was forcefully admitted in a mental hospital and was given sedatives. At hospital, she met the mother of Thamprakkal, another patient, who told her the stories of Alanchery and the life of Thamprakkal. After escaping from the hospital, she along with Syriac John had reached Thamprakkal and fabricated the story to save herself from Varma. Thamprakkal decides to protect her. On the next week, upon arriving at the village, Varma and his goons are defeated by Thamprakkal and his sons. Meera is married to Unni and everything ends happily.

The movie sketches through the life of an Army Man enriched with so many emotional sequences. Brigadier Rajashekharan Nambiar is a strict and tough officer in Indian Army. Dr. Sunny is his neighbor in native now he is in Army too. Susanna is a typical Army Nurse who has so much liabilities which hooks her down. Movie starts as a flash back. On the way he opens the hidden memories about Susanna, whereas he told her she was no more. The Movie goes to climax with the revealing of the flash back. Rajashekharan was a a strict officer but weak hearted to woman. He always flirts with nurses and other who are in the camps. Also he was a drunken man and a massive smoker. One day he see Susan on and tries the same. But she don't pay attention to him. Which makes him more intense to her. Later he manages Sunny to convince her. They got married. Rajashekharan was from a royal family, so his family members not much interested with new spouse. When the time passes they gets closer to her. Meanwhile new irritations starts to bud in between new couple. Even after one year they don't have a child. Rajshekharan gets hard to her, she tries to suicide, but survives. He understands his guilty and the story again goes good, they have a baby girl. too. When all are going good some unexpected tragedies blasts the story lines.

Vishwanathan (Suresh Gopi), due to his passion for farming and agriculture, gave up his job in an MNC and has been settled in his village. One day he gets a call from Hyderabad that Revathi (Maathu), his sister, who is studying medicine at a medical college has been missing for the past couple of days. Vishwanathan sets out to Hyderabad on the same day in a tourist bus. The bus, which is on a trip to Tirupati, is packed with a set of Tamil Brahmin pilgrims. Gowri (Annie), a beautiful girl among them grabs his attention for her singing abilities. The next day morning, on reaching Hyderabad, Vishwanathan reaches the college, and from her friends comes to know that Revathi had received threats from one Sudhakar Reddy (K. B. Ganesh Kumar), son of an underworld don. Revathi, who had witnessed a murder committed by Sudhakar, had planned to appear at an identification parade at the police station. Sudhkar in fury, rapes her, and in an effort to save herself, she falls down from the top of a building and dies. Vishwanathan visits the nearby police station to file a complaint, but gets cold response from the local inspector. He even threatens to arrest Vishwanathan, if he decides to move ahead with the complaint. Vishwanathan, who goes crazy of anger, gets into a scuffle with Sudhakar, and kills him, which causes his father Reddy, who is now ruling the city, to hunt for Vishwanathan. He is saved by the rival mafia don Patel (Devan). Vishwanathan is made to stay at a brothel run by Patel, where he meets Appu (Maniyanpilla Raju), a good hearted chap. At the brothel, he is shocked to see Gowri, with whom he had a crush on the bus on the road to Hyderabad. From Appu, he comes to know that she was trapped and kidnapped at Tirupathi and has been sold to Patel by a lady pimp (Lalithasree). On meeting Vishwanathan, Gowri pleads him to save her. At night, she hits the local inspector with a liquor bottle, causing him injury. Vishwanathan decides to save her and is helped by Appu in finding a route outside. Appu introduces him to Jose (Vijayaraghavan), a truck driver from Kerala and his sidekick Kunjahammed (Augustine). But Appu is killed by the goons of Patel. Vishwanathan flees out from the brothel with Gowri and is followed by Patel and his goons. On other side, Reddy is also after him. Their chase turns more violent as they face several hardships on the path, including many local criminals. But Vishwanathan, after a bloody, long chase, succeeds in saving her by killing both Patel and Reddy.
