Vikram Dharma (born as R. N. Dharmaseelan in 1961) was an Indian fight master/action choreographer in the Tamil film industry (also known as Kollywood) in Indian cinema. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Action for Yuva. He died of a heart attack in early 2006. He has worked with actor Kamal Haasan in many films. Stunt masters like Thalapathy Dinesh, Indian Baskar and Rajasekar have worked as fighters and assistants to him.

Ramji Narayanaswami Iyer (Madhavan), a naive and docile Tamil Brahmin (Palakkad Iyer) cook, dreams of marrying off his sister Bhagyam (Divyadarshini) to a good family, as they are orphans and it becomes his sole responsibility. As per convention he has shell out dowry for the marriage and somehow falls short of the agreed sum. Incidentally the groom's family happens to admire the food cooked by Ramji and plan him to send to Melbourne, Australia as a cook for a multi millionaire Australian based Indian family. Vers la domination britannique en Inde, un homme du nom de Senapathy décide de se rebeller contre les Britanniques. Senapathy apprend un art martial rare qui lui permet de tuer avec ses mains nues, et va à Singapour, pour rejoindre l'Armée de libération formée par le célèbre Subhas Chandra Bose. Il rejoint ensuite un escadron de la mort afin de détruire les chars britanniques. Bien que tous les autres aient accompli la mission, Senapathy est capturé, emprisonné, battu, torturé sans pitié par les Britanniques. À sa libération, il est pris en charge par une femme du nom de Namrata, qu'il a sauvé des Britanniques - qui s'étaient emparés de deux camions de manifestantes, ont brûlé leurs vêtements, les forçant à se suicider.

Palanisamy (Sathyaraj) is an uneducated man who dreams to marry a teacher and lives with his friend Dhandapani (Goundamani). Palanisamy falls in love with Hamsaveni (Sukanya) at first sight. He decides to go to her village Irugur. First reluctant, she finally agrees to marry him, but only under three conditions : to continue to work as a teacher, to live in her hometown and with her father. The film begins with ad filmmaker Anbarasu (R. Madhavan), who prefers the much-abbreviated alias A. Aras arriving at the Bhubaneswar Airport in Odisha, India.
