Thomas and directed by Sandhya Mohan. The movie stars Dileep and Sanusha in the lead roles and Bhagyaraj, Khushboo, Sheela, Biju Menon, Nedumudi Venu and Riyaz Khan in supporting roles.
The film tells the story of three rich women, Raja Kokila, her adopted daughter Raja Mallika and her daughter Raja Lakshmi who believe that a woman can survive without the help of a man. However, the entry of a lawyer trained drama director Ashok Raj into their lives forces them to revise their opinions. Critical reactions to the film were mostly mixed response, but the film managed to become an average grosser at the box office.
Synopsis
Ashok Raj (Dileep) is the son of Rajagopalan Thampy (Nedumudi Venu), whose family is based in Ottappalam. Although Ashok Raj is a lawyer, his interest lies in reviving a defunct drama troupe called Bharatha Kalakshetram, which used to be run by his family. He is directing a drama titled Dasavatharam for the troupe and is also the lead actor in the play. Ashok Raj even changes his name to "Ashok Chakravarthy" as he thinks it has much more punch as a name for an artiste. His elder brother Babu Raj (Biju Menon), who runs a company, is now in a financial mess.Acteurs

Radhakrishnan (Dileep) is dysfunctionally brought up like a girl by his grandmother (Sukumari) who wanted a granddaughter. There by, he becomes effeminate and milquetoast. She calls him Radha, which becomes his nickname. Radha's father Divakaran (Lal) goes to jail for a murder that he accidentally commits. Radha is ridiculed among the people in the village but he is not worried and spends time with the girls singing and teaches dancing. His best friend is Malu (Gopika) who is wooed by Kumaran (Indrajith), a local money lender and the son of the man whom Radha’s father had killed.

The story revolves around Ajayan (Mohanlal), who, after having tried his luck in different cities around the world, comes back to his village to look after his ageing mother Ammukutty Amma (Sheela) and to get her love and the nostalgia of his growing up years. There, he starts a company for producing agricultural equipment and earns his living as a farmer. One day a boy comes and meets Ajayan claiming to be his son. Ajayan used to boast himself as a womanizer in his youth is believed to be the boy's father by all villagers. Ammukutty Amma starts getting to like the boy and they form a very friendly relation and eventually she starts accepting the boy as Ajayan's real son, though Ajayan ferociously reject the boy's claim and dislikes him. The boy is persuaded by Ammukkty Amma to get close with Ajayan and subsequent events softens Ajayans attitude towards the boy. Ajayan then set forth to enquire about the real identity of the boy and travels to Chennai. He is absolutely sure that he is not his father as the real truth is his stories about adventures with woman were actually lies to get admiration of his friends. The climax show us that Ajayan accepts the boy as his own son.

June R (Jyotika), an orphan, was born in the month of June, for which she was named. She works in an advertising agency. Deeply hurt, Raniammal finds solace in June's company, who also longs for a motherly love since childhood. June decides to take Rajalakshmi to her house and calls her mom. Both together (June and Rajalakshmi) cherish life who once were starved for love. later her son comes back again to take his mother back, Rajalakshmi realising her sons evil thoughts refuses to get back to him. later on Rajalakshmi's refusal he visits June and quarrels with her to give back his mother, June baffles with his sudden love for his mother. this implies an emotional entangle between the both meanwhile Rajalakshmi falls sick and June on seeing Raniammal's pathetic condition brings her brother (Ravikumar) whom she wanted to meet before she dies. On visiting Rajalakshmi's home town she unveils the mystery behind his sudden love for his mother. now entrant Amudha (Kushboo) a noted and leading lawyer aids June to get back her new mother legally, prostrating Arun's wicked thoughts in the law of court . at last the judgement favours June though June succeeds in her mission of getting back her mother, but fate has some storm in its store, June finds Rajalakshmi dead when she comes back. Now comes Raja (actor Suriya who plays a cameo ), a rich client of June's advertising agency falls in love with her who consoles her on this uncompensable loss and takes her along with him, just the way her mother Rajalakshmi wished.
