Synopsis
Shiva (Aamir khan) is blessed with magical snake-charming powers. When he meets Paro (Juhi Chawla) from a nearby village, he falls head-over-heels in love with her. She is also attracted to him. But Paro's father, Choudhry Charanjit Singh, is not pleased with this match, and he hires men to subdue and kill Shiva, all in vain. Then Shiva attempts to rescue Paro from a shapeshifting snake, and this earns him the wrath of his mate - another shapeshifting snake, who will not rest until Shiva is dead.Acteurs

Dhanakpur village farmer, Thakur Jaswant Singh (Alok Nath) and Dhanraj Singh (Dalip Tahil) are brothers. They have a younger sister Madhumati, who was used, made pregnant and ditched by Ratan Singh (played by Arjun), the son of Thakur Raghuveer Singh from a big Rajput family. The family refuses Jaswant Singh's request to get his sister married to Ratan. Ratan's family refuses to accept that he is guilty, as they are interested in their status. Insulted, Jaswant decides to leave the village. Unable to tolerate the events, Madhumati commits suicide. Frustrated, Dhanraj kills Ratan at his wedding and gets imprisoned. The two families are now bitter enemies. Jaswant moves to Delhi, develops his business, and reaches good status; he also raises Dhanraj's kids. Years later, Dhanraj gets released from the prison. Upon release, Dhanraj receives a letter from his son, Raj (Aamir Khan), an ardent music-lover, who completes his education in Rajput College. An emotional Dhanraj sneaks into Raj's college farewell party and is glad to see his son fulfill his dreams.

Ishq est l'histoire de quatre bons amis : d'une part, Ajay (Ajay Devgan) et Madhu (Juhi Chawla), fils et fille des riches hommes d'affaires Ranjit Rai (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) et Harbans Lal (Dalip Tahil) et d'autre part Raja (Aamir Khan), simple mécanicien, et Kajal (Kajol), tous deux issus de familles modestes. À la suite du décès de sa sœur et de son beau-frère, Rahul Malhotra (Aamir Khan) prend la direction de l'entreprise familiale et a également la charge de ses deux neveux et de sa nièce : Sunny (Kunal Khemu), Munni (Baby Ashrafa) et Vicky (Sharokh Irani). Mais Rahul se heurte d'une part aux multiples dettes de l'entreprise et d'autre part au comportement infernal des trois enfants qui épuisent les nounous les unes après les autres. Une nuit, les enfants s'échappent pour aller à la fête foraine où ils rencontrent Vaiyjanti (Juhi Chawla). Celle-ci s'est échappée de chez elle car elle refuse de se marier avec l'homme que ses parents lui ont choisi. N'ayant nul endroit où dormir, les trois enfants la ramènent à leur maison et décident de cacher son existence à leur oncle. Or, un jour Rahul découvre leur secret. Remis de sa surprise, il engage Vaiyjanti comme baby-sitter. Tout le monde découvre la vie à cinq, les enfants s'entendent à merveille avec Vaiyjanti et cette dernière et Rahul tombent amoureux. Mais Maya (Navneet Nishan), fille de M. Bijlani (Dalip Tahil) envers lequel la société de Rahul est endettée, aime également Rahul et demande à son père de tout mettre en œuvre pour qu'il l'épouse.

Amit (Aamir Khan) is a poor guy who lives with his father, stepmother and sister. He is a good guy, spends time in nightclubs with his friends and studies in a secondary school. Reema (Juhi Chawla) is a rich girl. Her father is a businessman, and she studies at the same secondary as Amit. Reema is surrounded by Vicky's (Gulshan Grover) band. Vicky is the son of the mayor (Raza Murad), a powerful man who is in business terms with Reema's father. Vicky is a spoiled, cruel and criminal guy. He thinks that everyone is beneath him, and treats everyone how he finds it good. He is an idle guy. He spends time and money in nightclubs, getting drunk and abusing people with his band of criminals. His main interest is Reema, and he would easily kill everyone who came across her.

The film is 'inspired' from the Hollywood classic Mackenna's Gold. This film is based on a treasure hunt. Bhushan Chaudhry (Shafi Inamdar) and Mr. Agarwal (Tiku Talsania) are business rivals, and hate each other. Their children, Rajesh Chaudhry (Aamir Khan) and Asha Agarwal (Juhi Chawla) study in the same class in college, and are in love with each other. Both are terrified of what their parents will do when they find out about their romance. And when the parents do find out, all kinds of restrictions are placed on them. Unable to stay away from each other, they elope in a stolen car. On the way, they come across an injured man, and decide to take him to hospital. The young couple become mixed up with two rival groups of crooks who are after treasure in a tribal village set in a remote forest somewhere off Mumbai. Rajesh Chaudhry (Aamir Khan) who has a photographic memory, gets hold of the treasure map, and after a quick survey eats it up in order to protect himself and his girl. They are closely followed by their irate parents who do not want them to marry each other. They get caught in the tribal village and is released in an almost miraculous manner. In the end the two lovers are united and the crooks are killed by a CBI officer who was in disguise.
