Mrs. Vidya Raut murders her boss Karkhanis near Juhu Beach and surrenders herself to the police. She also submits the bloody dagger, weapon of murder. Swati Dandavate, a budding scholar advocate decides to fight her case. Her initial meetings with Mrs. Raut go waste as she keeps confessing her crime and is ready for the punishment. Convinced that something is hidden, Swati decides to find it out. Swati's husband Aditya, who is also an advocate, is now public prosecutor in this case. Vishnupratap Singh (Vikram Gokhale) is celebrating his 60th birthday in his village with his wife (Farida Jalal). At the behest of his wife, Vishnu Pratap calls his estranged son's family from Bombay for the event. Their grandson, Abhay (Fardeen Khan), arrives with his mother and sister to the village, and is initially greeted with animosity. However, he shows a kind and caring side that wins the affections of his family members. He also starts to become friendly with Mangala (Richa Pallod), and the two start playing pranks and teasing each other, which eventually leads to them falling in love. Sameer Rafilini (Salman Khan), de retour en Inde après s’être installé en Italie, vient pour parfaire son enseignement musical et suivre des cours de chant auprès du maître Pundit Darbar (Vikram Gokhale). Arjun Singh (Sunil Shetty) comes from a very poor family. He lives in a small and shabby tenement with his mom and sister. He studying in a collage where he fall in love with Deepa (Divya Bharti). One day he attack a pollice officer and was jailed. Deepa save him from jail with the help of her father (Tinnu Anand), who is a Police Commisner. Deepa's father want Arjun to join police as he say the department need some honest officers. He join police and was sent to another city where the original police inspector was killed by the goons. He go the city along with his Mother and Sister. This puts him into conflict with Bhai (Danny Denzongpa), a notorious gangster. In order to teach Arjun a lesson, Bhai orders people in this community to stop interacting with Arjun and his family, and as a result the three are alienated. His sister is raped, and his mother passes away. Then Bhai has Arjun captured and chained. But Arjun manages to escape, only to find that he has been framed for murder and is arrested by the police.
