Beladingala Baale (Kannada: ಬೆಳದಿಂಗಳ ಬಾಲೆ) is a 1995 Kannada movie directed by Sunil Kumar Desai, starring Anant Nag and Suman Nagarkar. It is based on a Telugu novel titled Vennelalo Aadapilla by Yandamoori Veerendranath which was translated into Kannada by Vamshi titled Beladingala Baale. It was later serialised in Sudha, a Kannada weekly magazine. The Kannada and Telugu titles loosely translate to "lady in the moonlight."

Vamshi also wrote dialogues for the movie or rather dialogues from the novel are adapted in the film without any modifications. Beladingala Baale literally means "lady in the moonlight". Story revolves around Revanth(played by Ananth Nag), a Chess grandmaster who is set to find out the identity of his fan who calls him often and whom he refers to as beladingala baale. Beladingala Baale gives Revanth the clues to find her out. How Revanth accomplishes his task forms the gist of the movie.

The story opens with a kidnapping of an architect (Avinash) at night. He is whisked away to a secluded location where he is tortured by unknown assailants for information regarding the structural details of a bank which he helped build. When the torture reaches excruciating levels, the architect gives in and shares the confidential details of the security alarms and safety devices in the bank. It is shown that the leader of the group called Dev (B. C. Patil) is a terrorist and will stop at nothing to get the bank's money to further his group's operations. It is also shown that he commands a strong team of at least 20 deadly terrorists.

The film opens to Akshay (Shankar Nag), having esaped from jail, being chased by the police when accidentally runs into the house of Sudha (Vanitha Vasu), a high school classmate of his. He hides in a closet when Inspector Kaury (Avinash) knocks the door. As he hides, he finds the corpse of her husband, Rithwik Kumar (Devaraj) dumped there. The officer breaks the news to Sudha that the plane by which her husband Kumar travelled to Calcutta crashed, killing all the passengers. She appears shocked and breaks down in front of the officer. After he leaves, she reveals to Akshay that she killed her husband and confides in him. He joins her in disposing the corpse in an abandoned well by her estate.

Samarth returns from Switzerland to India and eventually gets appointed as a bodyguard to famous actress Maya. He wins over the confidence of Maya and Phalguni along with their family. His real purpose of visit to India is to trace the psychiatrist killer of his brother and thinks that Maya has some special relationship with the killer. He manages to almost convince her that she might be the killer of his brother when a don Kishore who is after Maya kidnaps her and keep her in a remote place. Meanwhile, her friend Ananth who is aware of this entire incident is also abducted. Then enters a specially appointed DCP Vishnu who interrogates everyone involved in this case.
