The film is produced by Sajjad Chunawala and Shariq Patel under the banners Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Trigno Media. The film features Paresh Rawal, Annu Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles. It tells the story of an ordinary Hindu man who discovers that he is originally a born Muslim, and in order to meet his biological father, he must learn how to be or at least come across as a true Muslim.
The film is an official remake of the 2010 British film The Infidel starring comedian Omid Djalili in the lead role. Dharam Sankat Mein released on 10 April 2015, and received mixed reviews from critics.
Synopsis
Dharampal (Paresh Rawal) is an atheist living in a Hindu household. He is very stereotypical towards Muslims. He starts his days with the old songs of a Punjabi Sikh pop singer Manjeet Manchala (Gippy Grewal), who has now stopped producing albums and disappeared mysteriously. As well as this, he has regular arguments with a Muslim man named Nawab Mehmood Nazim Ali Shah Khan Bahadur (Annu Kapoor) who happens to live in the same area as him. Dharampal later visits his late mother's bank vault to collect her belongings. He then finds adoption papers certifying he was adopted in 1960 and that his biological parents were Muslims. This shocks him, considering how much he dislikes Muslims, and he decides to keep this a secret. Eventually, he admits to Nawab that he is also a Muslim, and that he must find his real father in order to speak to him. They discover that his father is in critical condition due to old age, living in an senior home. The Imaam taking care of his father tells Dharampal that if his father saw that his only son has been brought up as a non-Muslim, it could cause severe damage to his health. Therefore, he tells Dharampal to learn how to become a true Muslim and come back to meet his father once he is ready.Acteurs

La très belle et très attirante Susanna Anna-Marie Johannes (Priyanka Chopra) épouse tout d'abord le major Edwin Rodriques (Neil Nitin Mukesh) qui porte si bien l'uniforme puis, très rapidement, elle se marie avec le beau Jimmy à la si belle voix. À ce chanteur succèdent un poète, Musafir (Irrfan Khan) puis un Russe, Nicolai Vronsky (Aleksandr Dyachenko), qui ne survivent pas plus que leurs prédécesseurs. Tous ces veuvages finissent par attirer l'attention de la police et tout spécialement celle du très prévenant inspecteur Keemat Lal (Annu Kapoor) qui décède malencontreusement. Ces deuils répétés affectent douloureusement Susanna qui, fort heureusement pour elle et malheureusement pour lui, est secourue par l'excellent docteur Modhusudhon Tarafdar (Naseeruddin Shah). La liste des victimes s'allonge.

Three friends from the city visit some ruins where an aged mother (Gita Sen) and her daughter Jamini (Shabana Azmi) live. Mother awaits the arrival of a distant cousin to marry Jamini, but the man is already married and living in Calcutta. The photographer Subhash (Naseeruddin Shah) takes pity on the family and pretends to be the awaited suitor. The mother dies contented. Mumbai-based college teacher Amar Verma (Naseeruddin Shah) lives with his wife, Shobha (Soni Razdan), and 6 year old son, Kunal. When a war breaks out between ganglords Veljibhai (Paresh Rawal) and Chhapan Tikli (Gulshan Grover) alias Jimmy, a number of innocent bystanders fall victim, one of whom is Kunal. This devastates the Verma family. Shobha walks out on Amar, who then devotes his life to his students. Many years later, when he finds out that a student, Pooja (Pooja Bhatt), has a problem of stammering, he decides to help her. He finds out that she is the only child of gangster Veljibhai. Amar meets with Veljibhai, discusses the gang-war scenario, then meets with Chhapan Tikli and does the same. Amar gets the gangsters to agree on a truce so that he can take Pooja and the rest of the students on a field trip to Bangalore. Amar will soon find out that neither Veljibhai nor Chhapan Tikli has any intention of keeping any truce. As the two dons engage in a fight to the finish, it seems that Amar may well have jeopardized his own life as well as the lives of Pooja and the other students. An additional complication arises with Pooja falling in love with her classmate Karan (Atul Agnihotri) and wishing to marry him against the wishes of her father.

Firaaq décrit la vie quotidienne de plusieurs personnages à Ahmedabad dans les jours qui suivent la fin des violences de 2002. Enfin, un vieux musicien, Khan sahib (Naseeruddin Shah), à qui ses proches ont dissimulé la violence des évènements, se désole de voir fondre le nombre de ses spectateurs.

Police Inspector Ghote lives a middle-class life in Bombay along with his wife, Pratima. He has been employed with the Bombay Police for many years. His wife is generally disgruntled and wants a better life. The film opens as Jai Singh Adenwaala (Naseeruddin Shah) gets into an accident due to drunk driving but is saved from death by Subhash Sharma (Paresh Rawal). As Jai Singh is seriously drunk, Subhash hails a taxi and decides to drop him home. Once at the Adenwaala Bunglow, Jai Singh invites Subhash inside to thank him. He introduces him to his wife, Malika (Neha Dhupia) a glamorous but shady young lady and his lawyer and friend, AD Merchant (Boman Irani). He then ends up hiring Subhash as his chauffeur, much to the chagrin of Malika. Merchant also develops a dislike for him . Malika tries her best to get Subhash out of the house but Subhash's cleverness and quick wit saves him every time.
