The film stars Vivek Oberoi, Diya Mirza, Govind Namdeo and Atul Kulkarni in lead roles. Sushant Singh, Mukesh Rishi and Sheeba have important supporting roles. The film's music was penned by Sandeep Chowta, which's banner is Sony Music Studios. It is a remake of Tamil hit Dhill (2001).
Synopsis
Uday and Mohan come from poor middle-class families. Against their families wishes, the boys are hell bent on joining the police force. The duo aim to make it big solely on the basis of their abilities. Despite lack of any recommendations or leverages to make it to the police academy, luck smiles on them in the form of Raj Dutt Sharma, their training officer.Acteurs

Avantika Ahuja (Kareena Kapoor) who lives in the United States returns to Delhi after her father has a cardiac arrest. While in Delhi she meets Ehsaan Khan (Saif Ali Khan), a University professor from Mumbai. Being in the same career field at the same place, love blossoms between the two. Meanwhile Avantika gets a call from New York asking her to rejoin her job. She breaks this news to Ehsaan and expresses her desire to work in the US, Ehsaan agrees and joins her but before that Avantika's father has some reservations about his daughter marrying a Muslim. The film starts with a narration about politics and gangs in Anantpur district, Andhra Pradesh. The opening scene of a murder in broad daylight, which the narrator calls "rakta politics", sets the tone of the movie. Narasimha Reddy, a local politician, is a powerful man in the area. His close associate Veera Bhadra (Rajendra Gupta) is his trustwothy ally for his political work, to the extent that Narasimha Reddy gives him freedom to contest Jilla Parishad polls with his men. Veera Bhadra champions the causes of the poor and oppressed and they look up to him like their leader.

Siva (Madhavan)comes to Chennai to continue his studies. He meets Priya (Meera Jasmine) and falls in love with her at first sight. Vishnupratap Singh (Vikram Gokhale) is celebrating his 60th birthday in his village with his wife (Farida Jalal). At the behest of his wife, Vishnu Pratap calls his estranged son's family from Bombay for the event. Their grandson, Abhay (Fardeen Khan), arrives with his mother and sister to the village, and is initially greeted with animosity. However, he shows a kind and caring side that wins the affections of his family members. He also starts to become friendly with Mangala (Richa Pallod), and the two start playing pranks and teasing each other, which eventually leads to them falling in love. Abhay ends up getting into a fight with the family of Virendra Pratap (Govind Namdeo), specifically his nephew, Rudra Pratap (Sharad Kapoor). Vishnu Pratap slaps Abhay afterwards for his actions, even though he was defending himself against Rudra.
