Synopsis
Bombay City lives in fear of a notorious thief who calls himself Chindi Chor (Gulshan Grover), and steals whenever and whatever he desires without any regard to security, and police protection. When Ghoshal (Ashish Vidyarthi) announces the exhibition and subsequent auction of Emperor Babushah (also played by Gulshan Grover)'s crown, Chindi challenges him that he is going to steal this priceless crown, and Ghosal accepts the challenge, and hires private security guards. Chindi carries out the theft, and two of the security guards, Vikram (Mohammad Iqbal Khan) and Ajay (Anuj Sawhney), and an accomplice, John D'Souza (Paresh Rawal), become prime suspects, and are on the run. They must apprehend Chindi and recover the crown to absolve themselves of this crime. While being chased by security guards, the trio crash into a wall, and are transported back to the 10th century, straight into the palace of Emperor Babushah himself. The trio think they are on the sets of a Bollywood movie, and take nothing seriously, until they are imprisoned. It is then the hapless trio realize that they must not only escape, but must also take the crown, back with them to the 21st century to absolve themselves of this crime. They do realize that only a miracle can get them back to the 21st century.Acteurs

The story revolves round a con man Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) who has a kind heart. He gets into a fight with Jogia Seth (Paresh Rawal), a smuggler whom he owes Rs. 50 lakhs. Sanju has to make the money in a month if he wants save himself and Gudia, an orphan who becomes a hostage. At this moment Natwar (Johny Lever) comes to Sanju's rescue. Mahesh (Ashok Saraf) is the second one who is a gambler. The third, Satish (Jatin Kanakia) has the habit of forgetting things and is absent minded.

Purushottam Agarwal shifts to London for better standard of living. He wants his grand daughter Nikki to respect Indian culture and marry an Indian man. A woman Neha (Ramya Krishnan) witnesses the murder of a friend of her named Madhu (Divya Dutta) by a notorious smuggler Zorawar (Paresh Rawal) but she skips while being chased by Zorawar's goons and ends up in the secure custody of police inspector Arjun Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), a friend of police inspector Pyare Mohan (Govinda). In reality, Neha, unaware of their identities, believes Arjun to be "Pyare", about whom she was agreeably apprised of by Madhu, and so, Arjun has to impersonate Pyare, giving rise to hilarious situations. Concurrently, Pyare flirts with Seema (Raveena Tandon) - Arjun's sister. Everything could have been passable for the two cops if two lookalikes of the cops, by the nicknames "Bade Miyan" (Amitabh Bachchan) and "Chote Miyan" (Govinda) had not been a cause of concern for them because of the misdeeds they commit leading to Arjun and Pyare being accused as the miscreants everytime. With background scores of the songs (specially "Bade Miyan Toh Bade Miyan") that stir the listeners, the movie advances through scenes of thrill and amusement.

Although well qualified, Ram Chand (Amitabh Bachchan) is unable to obtain suitable employment, and works as a peon in an organization.
