Jaago (English: Please Wake Up) is a 2004 Indian crime thriller film. It stars Sanjay Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Manoj Bajpai and Hansika Motwani. The film is based on a true incident from August 2002, in which a mentally challenged 10-year-old girl was raped on her local commuting train. The plot deals with the rape and death of a ten-year-old schoolgirl and the dramatic quest for justice by a lone but determined police inspector.
Synopsis
After a long day in school, ten-year-old Shruti Varma is accidentally locked in the school house, and by the time she is found and released, it is already night time. She boards a commuter train home, with an elderly couple and their daughter being her only company in the compartment. Then a trio of three young men, drug-hazed and violent, enter the wagon, notice the young girl and brutally gang-rape her. The other passengers are too timid to intervene; only after the culprits have left the train do they call the police. Shruti is taken to a hospital, but the trauma of the rape proves too much for her to bear, and she eventually dies from a massive shock in front of her anguished parents, Shrikant and Shradha Varma.Acteurs

In the Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka border, there are 2 villages named Pandavapuram and Kauravapuram. Dharmanna (Giri Babu) is the Head of Pandavapuram village who is considered as the latest descendant of the Pandavas while Suyodhana (Mukesh Rishi) is the Head of Kauravapuram village who too is considered as the latest descendant of the Kauravas. As expected, Dharmanna is a good Samaritan while Suyodhana is a dangerous criminal who runs a quarry business. Similar to the tale of Mahabharatha, here in this film too, Dharmanna and Suyodhana play the game of cards in which Suyodhana fails which makes him to follow the stipulation of the game - No celebration, marriage and any good events should not be conducted for 14 years. This leaves Suyodhana swearing vengeance and exactly after 14 years, by manipulation, Suyodhana wins the game and asks Dharmanna to give his daughter's hand with his youngest son's marriage. Thus to ensure his daughter Honey (Hansika Motwani)'s safety, Dharmanna sends her to Bangkok along with his friend and his friend's daughter. There she stays with Satya (Raveena Tandon)'s family and starts working with her sons Vijay (Manchu Vishnu) and Gopal (Vennela Kishore) in a successful boat business.

The story starts with the death of an army officer (Shroff) occurs and it is believed to be the act of a terrorist group headed by Changezi (Rishi). The film starts with the kidnapping of three nuclear scientists by Pralayanath Gendaswamy (Deepak Shirke) as he plans to build nuclear missiles for an invasion on India. Meanwhile Deputy Inspector General of Police Rudrapratap Chouhan (Suresh Oberoi) an honest police officer is murdered by Pralayanath Gendaswamy since he has been on his hitlist. Rudrapatap's son Harish (Harish Kumar) is the only witness of his murder. When scientists are gone missing police calls Brigadier Suryadev Singh (Raj Kumar) to take matter into his hands. When Central Minister Jeevanlal Tandel who is an ally of Pralayanath Gendaswamy sets up a meeting with him to inform him about Suryadev Singh, Pralayanath Gendaswamy questions why is there information about his glory and not a single photograph of his face. At that moment Suryadev Singh enters the auditorium and reveals that he is the one whose face Pralayanath Gendaswamy was so eager to see.

Seoul, the present day. Ten-year-old Yeon-joo (Lee Jae-hee) is picked up outside school by a man (Hwang Tae-kwang) who says he knows her mother and is then driven to a flat where she is sexually abused. Six hours later, her mother, Yoon Young-nam (Jang Young-nam), reports her disappearance to the police, who say it is too soon to launch a proper investigation. After being found dumped on the street in a suitcase, Yeon-joo is taken to a hospital by Yoon and recovers; however, Yoon's ex-husband, TV celebrity dentist Dr. Lee (Bae Sung-woo), is not happy at the adverse publicity Yoon's action has generated. Yoon eventually persuades a busy detective, Ma (Ma Dong-seok), to take an interest in the case; he questions Yeon-joo in hospital but the child reveals little. Later, a female police officer questions her, with more success. Angry at the apparent slowness with which the police are treating the case, Yoon tracks down the child molester herself and confronts him at his flat. After a struggle and chase, the police arrive and take both of them in, though en route the child molester escapes. Yoon decides to take more radical action.
