Jwala Mohini (Kannada: ಜ್ವಾಲಾ ಮೋಹಿನಿ) is a 1973 Indian Kannada film, directed by S. N. Singh. The film stars Ranga, B. M. Venkatesh, Sampath and Dikki Madhavarao in lead roles. The film had musical score by Chellapilla Satyam.

After a string of robberies Balaram(Major Sundararajan) fleas the country abounding his wife Parvathi(Pandari Bai) and son. Cruel circumstance seperat month and child lebbing the young boy under the care of goodness who name as Sekhar(Jaishankar) and raise him to well educated gentlemen. Sekhar falls in love with Saratha(Rajasree) who is the only daughter of wealthy banker, Ranganathan(V. S. Raghavan). He targets Ranganathan and plots to claim him, while Mohan sets his eyes on Saradha. Soon, a deadly games of deception is set in motion where everyone is left to confront their past.

Hema is a pampered girl brought up in a small town by her father. Timma and Mooga are her servants, but she treats them just like her friends. Hema is playful and acts like a kid in all matters even though she has reached marriageable age. She meets Prabhakara, her cousin who is visiting her village after many years. Hema's father doesn't like Hema mingling with Prabhakar and tells her about a family fight he had with Prabhakara's father years ago. Hema begins to hate Prabhakara from then on. After her father passes away, Hema & her servants are forced to live with Prabhakara. The story is about the growth of Hema from a pampered girl into a self-reliant woman who earns a living, not wanting to depend on others.

Kovalan, the son of a wealthy merchant in Kaveripattinam, married Kannagi, the lovely daughter of another merchant. They lived together happily in the city of Kaveripattinam, until Kovalan met the courtesan Madhavi and fell in love with her. In his infatuation, he left his wife Kannagi and gradually spent all his wealth on the dancer. At last, penniless, Kovalan realised his mistake, and returned to Kannagi after a year. Their only asset was a precious pair of anklets (Tamil: Silambu), filled with gems, which she gave to him willingly. With these as their capital they went to the great city of Madurai, where Kovalan hoped to recoup his fortunes by trade.
