Synopsis
Inspector Ravi Kapoor (Jeetendra) is an honest Police Officer newly transferred back to the city after 5 years, Chandi Das Khurana (Amrish Puri) a smuggler & gangster his younger brother Chotu (Shakthi Kapoor) and his gang has old enmity with Ravi. Sonu Dada (Dharmendra) who is in line of crime runs a club which is closed by Ravi & arrests him, Sonu gets angry against Ravi always carrels with him, Chandi Das want to take advantage of it, one day when they are fighting with each other he plans to kill Ravi and trap Sonu in the case, but Ravi saves Sonu in the fight from then onwards they become good friends, Sonu changes his life style & way of living and starts a mechanic shop. Ravi arrests Chandi Das and his gang red - handedly with the help of Sonu and sends them 6 years of imprisonment. Sonu lover Radha (Anita Raj) & Ravi’s lover Geetha (Madhavi) they marry them on the same day, both of them blessed with male children on same day and they all live very happily for 6 years. After 6 years Chandi Das & his gang releases from jail and they want take revenge against Ravi & Sonu. One day Ravi is appointed on a special duty to safe-guard valuable antic jewelers, Chandi Das want to acquire those jewelers so he kidnaps Ravi & Sonu’s children and asks Ravi to get that Jewelers but Ravi doesn’t surrender to them so they will kill Sonu’s child as warning, Radha also dies seeing the death of her child. Sonu becomes a fire and want to take revenge against Chandi Das & his gang even though Ravi tries to stop him but Sonu doesn't listen to him, because he lot everything in the life, he starts killing Chandi Das gangsters one by one. There Ravi makes a plan to catch them he agrees to give the jewellers to Chandi Das but they keep him in their custody at the same time Sonu saves him, Ravi and Sonu both joins together sees end of Chandi Das but Sonu sacrifices his life to protect Ravi’s child.Acteurs

Kishan, who lives with his sister, Reshmi, runs a Gas Station in Srinagar. One day while returning home he hears cries of help from a woman in a jeep. He chases and overtakes the jeep, and rescues the woman from four hoodlums. He finds out that the woman is Anita, who has run away from her cruel uncle who wanted to sell her for a large sum of money. Kishan permits her to live with them, and soon both fall in love with each other. Then their lives are turned upside down when Naag Raj, one of the hoodlums who had attempted to molest Anita, returns and sexually assaults Reshmi. When Kishan comes to her rescue, he ends up killing one of the men, and setting fire to the Gas Station, while Naag Raj absconds. The Police arrest Kishan and he is sent to prison for several years. A pregnant Anita attempts to kill herself, but is rescued by Delhi-based Police Inspector Ranjit Malik, who subsequently marries her and allows her to give birth to a baby boy, Vikrant alias Vicky. Years later Vicky has grown up and has fallen in love with a lovely young woman named Sonam, who he rescued from a molester named Prem Raj. Ranjit gets transferred to Bombay to nab an underworld Don by the name of King. Vicky is recruited as a Police Inspector with Bombay Police. One night Anita wakes up to see a man pointing a gun at Ranjit, she is shocked to see that the man is none other than her former lover, Kishan.

After the death of his first wife, Mr. Verma remarries Durgadevi (Bindu), so that she can look after his son, Ravi (Jeetendra). Subsequently, Durga also gets pregnant and gives birth to a son Kiran. After few years as Mr. Verma passes away, Durga decides to enter into politics with the help of Sewakram (Prem Chopra). Ravi becomes the managing director of his firm and falls in love with a typist Usha (Madhuri Dixit). Durgadevi first disagrees with the marriage but finally agrees. After the marriage, Durga stands for election and wins to become the state's Chief Minister. Meanwhile Usha becomes pregnant. Ravi, for his business related work, has to travel abroad. Kiran tells his mother that he has had an affair with Usha before she married Ravi. Shocked with this Durgadevi decides to deal with this situation. Usha falls prey to Durgadevi, Kiran and Sewakram.

After a long day in school, ten-year-old Shruti Varma is accidentally locked in the school house, and by the time she is found and released, it is already night time. She boards a commuter train home, with an elderly couple and their daughter being her only company in the compartment. Then a trio of three young men, drug-hazed and violent, enter the wagon, notice the young girl and brutally gang-rape her. The other passengers are too timid to intervene; only after the culprits have left the train do they call the police. Shruti is taken to a hospital, but the trauma of the rape proves too much for her to bear, and she eventually dies from a massive shock in front of her anguished parents, Shrikant and Shradha Varma.

The plot is an intricately woven one. It starts from childhood with the story of Ashok (also called Shoki by his childhood friend Vinod) (Dharmendra) who is a wealthy industrialist's only son. He is passionate about cars from childhood befriends Vinod (Vinod Khanna) who is passionate about trains; its his dream to make India's fastest train. Rakesh (Vinod Mehra) shares same passion as Vinod. Randhir (Danny Denzongpa) is in a tussle from childhood to make a better train than Vinod's. Childhood turns into adulthood and one day both attend a dance function organised by the Indian Railways. This is where Ashok and Vinod fall in love with two beautiful women: Seema (Hema Malini) and Sheetal (Parveen Babi). Ashok is now deeply in love with Seema and they are planning to get married after their engagement. Vinod is married to Sheetal and they have a son Raju. One day Vinod, who is now a top notch railway engineer, gets awarded with the contract to build a super-fast express train between New Delhi and Mumbai. Rakesh (Vinod Mehra) is his assistant. Randhir, the losing engineer and ex-lover of Sheetal, swears revenge and leaves.

Ajay (Jeetendra) & Vijay (Dharmendra) are thieves and best friends who are in jail under punishment, one day they meets a guy Manohar who is going to be hanged next day. Manohar wants to meet Ajay & Vijay as his last wish and tells them his story that his sister Radha was kidnapped by a Taxi driver and raped by a rich house guy Dinesh Lal (Shakthi Kapoor). Next day when they releases from jail starts their trails to protect Manohar, first of all they traps Inspector Emaandar and keeps him in their grip with his help Vijay joins as body guard for Dinesh and Ajay traps Dhanny Lal’s daughter Rani (Bhanu Priya) into his love. Vijay loves Emaandar’s daughter Inspector Shila (Anita Raj). In this process they come to know Manohar’s parents are kidnapped by Dhanny Lal & Som Lal only because his father Jagan Nath (Shreeram Lagoo) knows a secret of a treasure. Ajay recognizes that Manohar’s parents are only his parents from whom he was separated in childhood and Vijay recognizes that Jagan Nath as killer of his parents there arises a clash between Ajay & Vijay which cams down after knowing the truth that real culprit was Som Lal who killed Vijay’s parents by wearing mask of Jagan Nath. Finally Ajay & Vijay sees end of all culprits, protects the treasure and saves Manohar from hanging.

Courteous Police Inspector Rane intent on arresting notorious gangster P.C. Mathur finds himself on trial for murder and sentenced to seven years behind bars, of course being framed for the murder by his enemy. Following his prison term, Rane becomes an underworld operator known as Rana, intent on seeking revenge on Mathur and killing him. He hires Jai to kill Mathur but mistakenly kills somebody else in the process. Jai feeling angered by his mistake gives up a life of crime to concentrate on his family leaving Rana alone to hunt down Mathur. Inspector Arjun Singh (Vinod Khanna) of Bombay Police has attained a sordid reputation of being of the most ruthless policemen in India, and is known for his torture and brutality. When a young man is killed in custody, Arjun is spoken to and warned, and subsequently transferred to a small town of Tehsil. Arjun denies these charges and asserts, in vain, that the death was not his fault. Arjun re-locates there, and finds to his horror that the family of the young man who died in his care, are his neighbors, and that this town regards him as enemy number one. Arjun must now come to terms with his past and compromise in this town, and find out what were the circumstances behind this young man's death or just get another transfer. However he is abandoned by his lover Vidya (Anita Raj) and a determined Pooja (Madhvi) is doing all she can to bring justice to her brother's murder. Arjun finds solace in alcoholism and a prostitute, Seema (Meenaskhi Sheshadri).
