Raghava (Prabhas) is a hot-blooded and restless youth who cannot tolerate injustice that is being done in the society. In the process, he picks up fight with local don Ankineedu (Anandaraj). Ankineedu stabs Shirisha (Anshu) - the ladylove of Raghava - to death. He also issues an ultimatum to Raghava's parents to leave the city in few hours. Sriram (Jagapati Babu) is the son of 'Pepsi' Parasuram (Vijayakumar) always enjoys his life and his father fell's him useless fellow. Raghuram (Raghuvaran) his elder brother is their father's favourite son. Raghuram is married to Rajeswari (Jayasudha) and has a son Ajay. Shriram falls in love with Janaki (Sanghavi), the daughter of a cook Rama Rao (Chandra Mohan). Parasuram opposes the match because of the difference in their status. Meanwhile, Raghu's college sweetheart, Gita (Bhanupriya) is dying and she wants to spend her last days with him. She contacts him after five years and they begin meeting secretly. Shriram finds out about this and tries to keep the family secrets, take the blame for everyone's shortcomings and becomes the family scapegoat and his father's favorite whipping boy. The rest of the film examines whether or not Raghu is finally vindicated in the eyes of his family.

The film starts begins with a politician's murder by a henchman of the local don Boopathy (Charan Raj). The police commissioner Ganesh (Sarath Babu) appoints the Scotland Yard trainee Vijay (R. Sarathkumar) to arrest Boopathy. Vijay finally infiltrates Boopathy's gang under the name Ranjith Kumar as an ex-jailbird. Vijay later arranges kidnap of Boopathy's sister Usha and he rescues her (Kushboo). Vijay slowly becomes Boopathy's right hand. In the meantime, Vijay and Usha fall in love with each other. Thereafter, Ganesh gets killed and Vijay gets stuck in Boopathy's gang. In addition to this, Boopathy begins to suspect Vijay. What transpires next forms the rest of the story.

A college principal Janardan Rao (Vijay Kumar), keen to inculcate discipline in the students, gets his one time student and protégé Rajkumar (Chiranjeevi) posted as Telugu lecturer there. The ideal lecturer that he is, Rajkumar mingles with the students and becomes a comrade in arms and fools around with them in order to control them. One of his students Kanchana (Sakshi Sivanand) falls in love with him and asks him to marry her. He refuses her politely, saying that she will rescind her proposal if she knows his past and the flashback follows. During his student days in Delhi, Rajkumar falls in love with Preeti (Roshni), his guardian angel Janardan Rao's daughter. Vikram (Sathya Prakash) also loves her. When Preeti turns down his overtures, Vikram kills her in rage. Rajkumar in turn kills Vikram and goes to jail for five years. After serving the jail term now he has come back as a lecturer.
