Synopsis
Traumatized by deaths of her mother and husband, Devu was taken by her father-in-law Balan Nambyar went to hotel by Johnson in Ooty one day Appukuttan Pillai got job as waiter witness accident and Devu was mentally disturbed. Appu was actually music student of her late mother who knew her for years. Balan asked him to take care of Devu; soon Appu begin feelings for childhood love despite she is a widow.Acteurs

Ranjini Menon (Sithara), a gold medal winner in journalism arrives back in Kochi from Delhi. She starts living with her brother advocate Venu Menon(Saikumar)'s family and joins Malayalam news paper Kerala Today as an investigative journalist. She meets sub-editor Unnikrishnan (Jagadeesh), a shy young man. Unnikrishnan immediately falls for Ranjini but fails to reveal his feelings. Ranjini also meets Managing Director of the newspaper, Vishwanathan (Siddique) who is a widower. Ranjini becomes close with Vishwanathan's family, particular with his daughter. This prompts Vishwanathan to consider proposing to Ranjini.

Kunjoottan (Sreenivasan) is an innocent young man living in a remote village. He is the only heir to his rich, aristrocratic parents, Thamburan(Nedumudi Venu) and Kunjulakshmi(Sukumari). He cannot stand his overprotective father, who is concerned about his son because he had a bad dream about his son's death. The family astrologer Panikker(Oduvil Unnikrishnan) confirms this and predicts that it will be difficult for Kunjoottan to survive the age of 30 and that he is in great danger from motor vehicles. Worried Thamburan hires two ex-Mahouts Valiya Raman Nair(Kuthiravattom Pappu) and Cheriya Raman Nair(Mamukkoya) to protect Kunjoottan, which further annoys him.
