Rikshavodu is a 1995 Telugu film starring Chiranjeevi directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by Kranthi Kumar. Chiranjeevi played a dual role in the film. It was dubbed in Hindi as Devaa The Power Man. The film was one of the series of box office flops Chiranjeevi had in his career.
Synopsis
Chiranjeevi has enacted dual role in this film. The film opens with scene where Chiranjeevi come to city in search of livelihood in the city with his granny Manorama. He is befriended by Brahmanandam and taken to Soundarya who gives rickshaws for rent. One day while driving passengers on his rickshaw, he confronts with Nagma who hit it by driving her car arrogantly. He files a suits against her in the court but fails due to the influence of Nagma's wealthy father Paresh Rawal. After some scenes Paresh Rawal forces his daughter to marry Chiranjeevi to build up his political career as Chiru has good mass following in his area. Manorama sees Paresh and then reveals Chiru and us about his past. His father (also Chiranjeevi) a good human being and also a village head. Envied by the good name he has in the village Paresh Rawal traps his sister and sees that she suicides and also blames his wife Jayasudha that she is illicit. He kills Chiranjeevi in a village fight and that blame is taken by Jayasudha and she is in jail and all the villagers think that she is actual cause of all this. Now the son takes revenge on the villain and opens the truth before the villagers. Also Nagma transforms to be his lovable wife after knowing her fathers' deeds.Acteurs

After accidentally meeting, Mridula (Nagma) and Arun (Prabhu Deva) fall in love. The young couple both come from affluent families, and so, to test whether they will be suited for a long term relationship, they both decide to live together. However, a few months into their relationship, Arun and Mridula get in an accident and he passes away. A devastated Mridula is unable to get over her loss, and before long starts seeing Arun in strange visions everywhere she goes. Her family eventually decide that relocating to another country might help Mridula move on, and so they send her to the UK. Once she arrives there, she meets Mano, a young man attracted to her. She knows that her parents expect her to fall for Mano. But as she can't move on, she runs away. She meets a person who looks exactly like Arun. She follows him and finds out where he lives and works. Whenever she tries to talk to him, he denies his relationship with her and says he doesn't know her. However, she later finds out that her father had Arun sent away as he had helped with Arun's sister's marriage and had threatened to let it all go downhill for her. Arun moves to UK in hopes that he can forget about Mridula but he can't and when he meets her, he realises this. When Mridula's father finds out Arun is still alive, he tries to kill him. However he realises his mistake and lets the lovebirds reunite.

During a football match at school, some schoolboys breaks the statue of the school's founder. Raju is held responsible for this. He is given two choices, either pay for the damage or face expulsion. The boys get together and earn the money by polishing boots, selling lottery tickets and so on. The school's principal gets impressed with this and the management decides to repair the statue with their own money and spend the money earned by the boys for an excursion. Shortly afterwards during another football match they break the statue again.

The story is set in the backdrop of rural India. Thakur Bhanupratap Singh (Amitabh Bachchan) is the head of the “Sooryavansh” ancestry in the village of Bharatpur where he is also the distinguished Sarpanch of the local Gram panchayat. The film is a story of romance that centers around two lovers: Devaa (Vijay) and Bharadhi (Swathi). Mookkaiyan (Sivaji Ganesan) belongs to a well-to-do family and lives in the village Sozhavandan. He is held in high esteem by the villagers for his prowess. One day, his uncle Chockalingam (V. K. Suriya, the main character, killed the villains who murdered his family and has been sent to jail. During his time in jail, a well-respected collector celebrates his daughter's birthday in prison. The collector's daughter is impressed by Surya's talent in singing and convinces her father to grant her special permission to learn music from him. During this time, they fall in love with each other and opposition grows from both the girl's parents and the police department they elope. They come to a remote town where they witness the murder of a collector in the railway station during broad daylight, but no one seems to care. They then see that the man who murdered the collector is the chief of the village, so they try to oppose him. In their time at the village, they learn about his past and change their mind about him. He promises them to get them married. The movie then moves towards the climax as whether the village chief will be successful in getting those two lovers married or the girl's father will be successful in separating them using the legal system against them.

Sekhar (Murali) and Muthuraman (Parthiban) live in two different villages. However, they have two things in common: both the families (of Murali and Parthiban) are neck-deep in poverty and they want to send their eldest family member to Dubai to earn good amount of money for their families. Both Muthuraman and Sekhar along with many dreaming to go to Dubai give money to a middleman to buy them passports and visas. Everyone goes to the Chennai airport only to find that they were duped by the middleman. Sekhar and Muthuraman prefer not to go home as their loved ones might be heart-broken to know the fact. Hence, both of them agree that while Muthuraman goes to Sekhar's house saying that he was sent by Sekhar and vice versa. Back at home, an educated Muthuraman finds that though Sekhar's family land is unfit for agriculture; it can be used for grazing of cows. Hence Muthuraman manages to secure a loan with the help of Sudalai (Vadivelu) to buy a couple of cows and help the family earn a big profit; while Sekhar finds that Valli, Muthuraman's wife (Meena), is good at cooking and he suggests her to start a business in cooking. In this way, both families succeed in their efforts. Before the climax, Valli was pregnant and admitted to a hospital in Coimbatore and Sekhar asks Muthuraman to go there. At the right time, Pazhani (Charle), one of the persons who was cheated by the middleman, finds that the cheat has come into Coimbatore too in another disguise and he informs this to Muthuraman and Sekhar when he finds them. In order to prevent any more people to be fleeced by the middleman, the duo set out to bash him. At the right time; the police arrives and he promises them that the cheated men will be given passports and visas to Dubai. However; Muthuraman and Sekhar say that they do not want to go to Dubai or any other country as they became prosperous in their motherland due to their self-confidence.

Thathachari (Neelu) narrates a small anecdote of Sultan Muhammad bin Tughluq emphasizing on how the king had an arrogant attitude, indifferent view towards his kingdom and subjects, how he treated his guests and also the kind of plans he introduced that backfired.
