Sambhrama (Kannada: ಸಂಭ್ರಮ) is a 1999 Kannada romantic film directed by Mahesh Sukhadare and produced by Srinivasa Combines banner. The story is a remake of Telugu film Pelli Peetalu (1998) which was written and directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy and starred Jagapati Babu and Soundarya.
The film features Ramesh Aravind and Kaveri in leading roles with Kalyan Kumar, Srinivasa Murthy, Hema Panchamukhi among others playing supporting roles. Ramesh won the Filmfans Association award for best actor for his performance in this film.

Krishna (Ramesh) is a lecturer in a women's college. Lakshmi (Nidhi), his relative, is in deep love with him. However, he hates all women as taught by his Guru. Meanwhile, Sumitra Andal (Neethu) is a student of Krishna and is in love with a fashion photographer Sundaram Pillai (Mohan). But her father is against this as he is adamant to have his daughter married to his own caste. Three childhood friends — Surya (Ramesh Aravind), Shashank (Akshay Anand) and Bhoomi (Hema Panchamukhi) are from the coastal region of Karnataka. After finishing their undergraduate studies, Shashank goes to the US for further studies. Surya is extremely patriotic about India and doesn't want to go anywhere and starts his business in his hometown, and Bhoomi stays at home. After three years, Shashank comes back to India. He starts going off on India on his way from the airport, saying how much greater America is. While in India, his family arranges his marriage to Bhoomi. Surya, on the other hand, is the one who truly loves Bhoomi and tries to tell her using recorded audio tape and plants it in Bhoomi's room having no idea that she is to be married to Shashank.

The film is all about a traffic constable Venkata (Ramesh) who dreams big to become a commissioner. Situations provoke him to become a target for all the troubles that happen around him. Later he is sent as an undercover cop to a college. His duty is to bust the terrorist who are stealing the chemicals from that college to prepare bombs. How he comes out of the trouble and reaches his aim forms the rest of the plot told in a hilarious manner.
