Seven Keys to Baldpate is a lost 1925 American silent film based on the mystery novel by Earl Derr Biggers and play by George M. Cohan. Previously made by Paramount in 1917, this version was produced by and stars Douglas MacLean. Out of several adaptations of the story made between 1916 and 1947, this film is one of the few lost versions.

Le grand-père de Willie Carleton place son testament entre les pages d'un livre sur les pirates et leurs trésors enfouis. Après sa mort, le livre est vendu par erreur à une boutique de livres d'occasion tenue par Angus MacTavish, qui vit avec sa petite-fille Mary et Jim Gleason, un jeune auteur amoureux de Mary. Accompagné de l'avocat John Brent et de la secrétaire Marion Fisher, Willie essaye de racheter le livre, mais Mary a déjà découvert le papier qui indique où un trésor est caché. Willie accepte de partager le trésor avec les MacTavish en échange de leur aide à le retrouver. Faisant semblant d'être géologues, ils fouillent dans une vieille ferme appartenant à Lem Butterfield. Des soupçons se font jour et le policier local garde un œil sur les fouilles. La boîte est finalement trouvée, elle contient une note indiquant que le trésor est en fait la bonne santé gagnée en travaillant à la campagne. De retour en ville, Willie découvre que la chasse au trésor était juste un test, John Brent ayant gardé la fortune de Willie en attente. Mary achète la ferme puis la revend avec un énorme bénéfice. Jim Gleason vend un de ses romans et il se fiance avec Mary.

As described in film magazines, Annabelle Leigh (Burke) lives extravagantly on a quarterly allowance that she spends monthly, until she is tricked out of two shares of a mining stock by crude, western miner John Rawson (Rawlinson), who compelled her to marry him after the death of her father in a squabble over the stock. The marriage is little more than form and rater than keeping her in a lonesome cabin where she cries perpetually, her magnanimous husband sets her free to go to New York City where she lives in an extravagant style. During a struggle for possession of her stock certificates with financier George Wimbledon (Kent), she takes a violent fancy towards a mysterious millionaire whom she meets during a party at Kent's Long Island estate. She tells him that she is resorting to all of the tricks she plays simply to save her husband, whose interests are threatened. The mysterious millionaire turns out to be that husband, who has shaved off his beard and wins her this time through love.
