Mumbai is in the midst of a turf war between two gangs, collectively referred to as the Mumbai underworld when Satya (J.D Chakravarthy), a man without a past, comes to the city looking for employment. While waiting tables at the local dance bar, he gets involved in a scuffle with Jagga (Jeeva), bag man for dreaded don Guru Narayan (Raju Mavani). Appalaraju (Sunil) is a film lover and he watches films regularly at Rambha Theatre in Amalapuram in a critical way and wonders why the directors are bringing out such films and his life ambition is to direct a film better than all the established directors. He leaves for Hyderabad and stays in his friend"s (Satyam Rajesh) house, with his script titled Nayaki. His friend takes him to an audio release function, where he meets a producer called Rakhee (Raghu Babu). He and his creative head Pushpanand (Harshavardhan) read the script and suggest some changes. But Appalaraju does not agree to change even a single word in it. Then Rakhee suggests Appalaraju to convince the top heroine of the film industry Kanishka (Sakshi Gulati) as her nod would help them fetch financiers. The plot starts with a man returning home late night. He passes through the graveyard; on the way to home and he finds a ghost mistaken for a woman and follows her. He is killed by a group of ghosts. Scene moves to a happily living couple Murali and Sindhu (Jayasudha), who lives with their 3 years old son Chinni (Master Ravi Chandra Padmala) and Sindhu's sister Mahi (Maheswari). They plan to buy an estranged new farm house, which is near to graveyard. Sindhu's sister Mahi (Maheswari) always roams with her boyfriend Narsing (J. D. Chakravarthy). The problem comes when Sindhu's son starts making imaginary friends in their new home. It is later revealed that his "imaginary friends" are ghosts. Sequence of events happens showing the essence of ghosts in the house. Things become much worsen when Chinni will become prey to the ghosts. Sindhu sees the ghost of Chinni and feels that he is still alive. In the meantime, Narsing once while waiting for Mahi in the night near the graveyard road, mistakes Ghost to mahi. However, he survives from there. Later he comes to know from his friends that a builder built the farm house on the land of graveyard. Narsing understands that Mahi's family is in big trouble. He warns Mahi to move away from that house immediately. But Mahi being from an atheist family doesn't cares about his words. The ghosts continues to kill the family members one after the another. At last, Mahi and Narsing tries to escape from the ghosts but when they return home, they find that all the protagonists became ghosts . The film starts with a narration about politics and gangs in Anantpur district, Andhra Pradesh. The opening scene of a murder in broad daylight, which the narrator calls "rakta politics", sets the tone of the movie. Narasimha Reddy, a local politician, is a powerful man in the area. His close associate Veera Bhadra (Rajendra Gupta) is his trustwothy ally for his political work, to the extent that Narasimha Reddy gives him freedom to contest Jilla Parishad polls with his men.
