Swaroopam (Malayalam: സ്വരൂപം) is a 1992 Malayalam film written and directed by K. R. Mohanan, and starring Sreenivasan, Sandhya Rajendran and V. K. Sriraman. It won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam.
Synopsis
Shekharan is a farmer. He lives in the countryside with his wife and two children. Shekharan is a hardworker and has time for nothing but his job. He progressively build up his assets and is saving money for the construction of his house.Acteurs

Ramanujan (Jayaram) meets a software engineer named Jyothi (Soundarya) on the train returning to Chennai. She has been engaged to Dr. Pradeep (Sidhique) for many years. After they arrive in Chennai, Ramanujan asks his best friend Paul (Innocent) to find Jyothi a new home. Jyothi is not married and is therefore unable to legally own a home, so when she receives a home from Paul she lies and tells the owner that she is married to Ramanujan. When she has to leave the home, she stays at Ramanujan's house. They convince the neighbors that they are a couple. Ramanujan falls in love with Jyothi, but he understands that she is already engaged. She returns to Kerala for her engagement, and Ramanujan and Paul both attend the engagement party. Paul gets drunk at the party and tells everyone that Ramanujan and Jyothi were living in a single home together in Chennai, ending Jyothi's relationship and forcing her to marry Ramanujan.

The story is woven around Razaq, a convict lunatic confined in the asylum for many years. He had killed his wife in anger, suspecting her of infidelity. An infant girl child of the couple who had become an orphan, was brought up by the joint family. Time inexorably passes and the time has arrived for the girl's marriage. But this created a major problem in the close-knit family. The family members, who at the outset set out to secure the release of Razaq from the lunatic asylum gre wiser when its possibility was seen turning into reality and then backed out. The very family which had been believing till then to have shared the bitter destiny of Razaq could not bring itself to approve of his emerging in their midst, in flesh and blood. He would be casting the shadow of death on the family's honour. The presence of a murderer-father at the marriage of his daughter would spoil the happiness of the newly married. Even the bride, Mumtaz, did not want to see her father.

The story is about Jayakanthan (Kunchacko Boban) who comes to claim his father Narendran's property in their native village. There he meets Vinodini (Samyuktha Varma) who is the panchayat president and a strict follower of the rules. Bobby (Suresh Gopi) comes to high range as a helicopter pilot working for Robinson (Sreenivasan). His job is to spray copper sulphate (thurisu) in the rubber plantations. He is assisted by Venkidi (Manian Pillai Raju), Nandu and Indrans. He faced some resistance from local workers like Chako (Jagathy Sreekumar). He also had to save Robinson from many troubles. In a nearby convent he sees Sr. Cindrella (Praveena) and was shocked to realise that she is actually Megha Mathew, the sister of his best friend (Madhupal), of whose murder Bobby is currently accused of. Megha is the only witness who can prove Bobby's innocence. He fakes a helicopter malfunction and lands the copter in the convent so as to meet Megha in person. But Megha refuses to admit her identity to Bobby. She was not aware that her brother actually gave word to Bobby to give her hand to Bobby. Meanwhile, the murderers of her brother came in search of Megha. Bobby in the end rescues her from the villains and wins Megha.
