Synopsis
General Dong (Amrish Puri) is an evil dictator of a kingdom called Dongrila. He has kidnapped dozens of school girls and plans to use them as suicide bombers to bomb populated areas in India. One of his hostages is Dolly (Firdaus Dadi) who is the daughter of Major Krishna Rao (Mukesh Khanna). Krishna Rao recruits the best Indian army officers Captain Ranvir (Naseeruddin Shah), Captain Aditya (Aditya Pancholi), Captain Javed (Javed Jaffrey), Captain Anju (Ekta Sohini) and former disgraced Major Dharam Singh (Dharmendra). Together they go on a perilous journey between the borders of China and India to rescue Dolly as well as dozens of school girls held in Dong's captive and destroy Dong's kingdom of Dong-rila.Acteurs

Crime and corruption have taken over Bombay City without any solution. A rash of kidnappings of young women takes place. One auto-rickshaw driver Auto Kesariya is behind this crime. The policemen of Kala Chowki Police Station are doing little to stop these crimes. Former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Arjun Verma is reinstated and assigned to this case. Arjun gets himself deeply involved in this disappearance and the kidnappings and faces the shock and trauma of finding skeletal remains of young women who have been abducted as well as body parts stolen from innocent patients from hospitals. His personal life also turns upside down as his fiancée abandons him on his wedding day, while his niece is abducted and held for ransom, and above all Arjun Verma himself becomes the target of assassins hired by influential politicians and senior police officials.

For years an aging Rukmini Bai (Shabana Azmi) has been the Madame of a brothel in Hyderabad, India. One day she gets the news that she now has a new landlord in Mr. Gupta (Kulbhushan Kharbanda), whose daughter is to marry the mayor's son Sushil, shortly. Led by City Councillor, Shantidevi, the people in this town demand that this brothel be moved elsewhere, preferably on the outskirts of the town, and they do succeed, compelling Rukmini to move with her women to their new location, which happens to be near the Dargah of Baba Karak Shah. Ironically, this attracts a lot of people, and the patronage to Rukmini's bordello increases. Then complications set in when Sushil refuses to marry his father's choice, childlike Malti, and wants to marry Zeenat (Smita Patil) - a prostitute, not entirely by choice and seeking for a better existence, who resides with Rukmini.

Khalujan et son neveu Babban forment un duo de petits escrocs se faisant passer pour un Nawab et son valet. Séparés dans leur fuite après avoir volé un collier de prix, ils se retrouvent à la cour de la Begum Para, récemment veuve.
