Ajouter à une liste de filmsVirasat (English: Inheritance) is a 1997 Indian Hindi film, a remake of the Tamil film Thevar Magan. It was directed by Priyadarshan and produced by the Mushir-Riaz duo. It starred Anil Kapoor, Tabu, Amrish Puri, Pooja Batra, Milind Gunaji and Govind Namdeo. The music was composed by Anu Malik. The film marked a comeback vehicle for Priyadarshan in Hindi cinema. Music director Annu Malik reused some of the original tunes of Ilaiyaraaja from Thevar Magan.
Synopsis
After completing his studies in London, Shakti Thakur (Anil Kapoor) returns to the small Indian town where his family resides. Accompanying him is his girlfriend, Anita (Pooja Batra), whom he is in love with and wants to marry, much to the disapproval of his family. After a few days, Shakti starts to feel that nothing much has changed in this part of India and longs to leave. He tells his father that he would like to sell his share in the family land and would open Restaurant business and settle with his girlfriend, to this his Father(Amrish Puri) urges him to stay in the village and uplift it with his education, by saying "A man gets Education not to become a selfish being but to uplift his uneducated brothers and society". Shakti does not agree with his father and decides to leave. He is unable to bear the animosity between the townspeople in general and in particular between his Zamindar dad, Raja Thakur (Amrish Puri), and rival Zamindar Birju (Govind Namdeo), none other than Raja's crippled brother.Acteurs

Aakash Rana (Ajay Devgn), is an illegal immigrant married to British citizen Nikita (Kangna Ranaut) living as a successful engineer but is eventually caught and deported from the UK thus crushing his dreams of an ideal life. Four years later, Aakash returns with vengeance on his mind and teams up with his former employees Aadil Khan(Zayed Khan) and Megha (Sameera Reddy) to wreak some havoc. What follows is a bomb threat on a train and a tensed Railway Control officer Sanjay Raina (Boman Irani) and Anti-Terrorism officer Arjun Khanna (Anil Kapoor) trying every trick in the book to avert the disaster and to apprehend the culprits. Sanjay Raina trying his best to save his daughter Piya (Avika Gor) and the passengers in the train who are thrown in the mix are police officer Shivan Nair (Mohanlal) and his team of cops, who are escorting a prisoner on the same ill-fated train. Aakash demands 10 million euros and then he will tell how to disarm the bomb. The ministry does not want to give the money, but Khanna convinces them that the money will be given back and is a way to lure the terrorists. After following Aakash's instructions and dropping the money in a river, he walks away. Meghna gets the money and tries to get away. She evades the cops after a vicious chase but unfortunately she is killed by a van in an intersection. Khanna finds out that Khan is one of the bombers and chases him. Khan is shot in the leg, but he gets away after jumping from the bridge and landing on a jet ski driven by Aakash. Aakash once again demands money and tells it to be left in a dustbin. The dustbin falls inward and Aakash runs away with the money even though the police attempt to pursue him. Khanna and his team find out where Aadil is and go there to arrest him. However, Aadil commits suicide with a bomb almost killing Khanna. Aakash calls Raina and tells him that a note has been left at a restaurant called Delhi Darbar that tells how to defuse the bomb. However, the restaurant catches on fire and the letter is burnt. Aakash visits Nikita and his son and they arrange to leave UK that night via flight. Khanna visits Nikita and tells who her husband is. After changing the plan, that they should leave UK via train because the police has found out about his plan of leaving via plane, he goes to the train station. There he sees a video of Raina asking the bomber to call again as the letter was burnt. Aakash calls Raina and tells him that the bomb was not connected to the wheels and the train will not explode if stopped. Raina stops the train and everyone disembarks safely. Nikita who is helping Khanna now, goes to the train station and sees Aakash and the news that the bomb threat was a hoax. She lets Aakash go, but Khanna finds out as Aakash's son calls him Daddy. Khanna chases him and they fight. After Aakash pleas to Khanna to let him go and explains why he took such drastic actions. Realizing that Aakash was a victim of deportation and wants to just be with his family again at peace, Khanna stays silent (hinting he will let him leave scotfree). However, the police arrive and after seeing that Aakash had a gun, they shoot him.

Mac (Akshay Kumar) est le photographe d'un magazine de mode, Garam Masala. Lahauli est un petit village rural agricole qui subit de plein fouet les changements climatiques et l'infertilité du sol qu'ils entraînent. La population, après s'être considérablement appauvrie, survit tant bien que mal et dans la bonne humeur. Karamkali est l'odieuse propriétaire des terres et impose ses conditions aux villageois. Son frère Baje est un mateur invétéré plutôt stupide. Balwant est un vendeur de lait peu scrupuleux (il coupe son lait à l'eau) qui a une fille, Sukhmani. Kanhaiya est un jeune homme qui a accepté de devenir l'homme à tout faire de Balwant dans le but de se rapprocher de sa fille. Les deux jeunes gens nouent un début d'idylle, mais le fortuné Baje convoite également Sukhmani et a fait une demande officielle de mariage. Bulwat a évidemment accepté cette union providentielle, laissant sa fille effondrée. Anthony est un vieux célibataire sans enfant, ivrogne. Lilaram, le seul à avoir fait des études et à être plus ou moins "instruit" au sein du village, était chargé de recenser la population de la communauté mais devant sa maladresse pour aborder les personnes sondées, il s'est mis à vendre des tickets de loterie parmi les habitants. Cependant, il n'est payé qu'à la commission, en cas de vente de tickets gagnants ! Les temps sont donc durs pour Lilaram et sa femme Tara. Et voilà qu'un beau jour, il apprend à la télé que parmi les tickets gagnants, il y a notamment un de ceux qu'il a fournis aux habitants du village, l'un d'entre eux va donc devenir l'heureux bénéficiaire de 10 000 millions de roupies ! Lilaram, chargé d'inscrire les noms des gagnants éventuels sur un tableau à l'entrée du village, décide de garder cette nouvelle pour lui afin d'empocher l'argent, tant il est convaincu être le seul à savoir le secret. Comme il ne sait pas à quelle personne il a vendu le billet sur les 105 qu'il possédait, il vend la chèvre adorée de sa femme pour organiser une fête à laquelle il conviera tous les détenteurs d'un ticket. Il ne lui restera plus qu'à dérober le coupon correspondant. Peine perdue, la fête passée, Lilaram a collecté 104 tickets, et celui qui manque est évidemment celui qu'il cherche ! Il se rappelle alors avoir vendu un billet à Anthony qui n'est pas venu à la fête. En se rendant chez lui, Lilaram le découvre devant son poste de télé, mort avec le ticket en main, probablement d'une crise cardiaque après l'annonce d'une telle nouvelle... Bulwat arrive à cet instant et pense alors que Lilaram l'a tué, avant que celui-ci ne lui explique tout. Ils entreprennent de faire disparaître le corps et de partager l'argent, et Kanhaiya les surprend et les rejoint dans le stratagème. Les voilà avec un cadavre sur les bras à faire disparaître.
