Yaaruda Mahesh (English: Who is Mahesh) is a 2013 Tamil adult comedy film directed by R. Madhan Kumar, starring Sundeep Kishan and Dimple Chopade. It also has Jagan, Srinath, Livingston, Uma Padmanaban, Swaminathan, Singamuthu and Nellai Siva supporting the lead. The film was shot around Chennai and Kerala. It was produced by Red Studios and Colour Frames. Its soundtrack and background score were composed by Gopi Sunder, while Raana handled the cinematography. The film released on 26 April to below average reviews. It did average business at the box office. It was also dubbed in Telugu with the name Mahesh.
Synopsis
The film opens with Shiva going to college for testing, where his pen runs out of ink. He receives a new one from the girl next to him, Sindhya. He immediately falls for her and starts following her. He attends an educational tour with Sindhya, Vasanth, and Priya (Vasanth's lover). Eventually, Sindhya falls for Shiva too. He then finds out that she got the top rank in the test and a scholarship to the US. Before she leaves, Sindhya invites Shiva to breakfast at her house while her family is out. At her house, Shiva strips her and the two end up having sex. Sindhya then leaves to the US. She comes back 3 months later, saying that she has some private information to tell him. When she gets back, she announces to Shiva that she is pregnant, thinking that no one is in the house. However, Shiva's mom and dad overhear and they scold the two for having sex.Acteurs

The story starts with Karthik, a young advocate (Vijay Antony) at the shopping centre Landmark. A young girl introduces herself as a software engineer and chooses the same film DVD as Karthik. A romantic film called "Kadhaluku Mariyadhai" (Respect for true love). Karthik ends up with a crush on the girl and reveals it to his friend Das. His friend Das (Jagan) who is a house agent helps Karthik settle down in a place that he calls his office. He finds out that he has to share his "office" with another young lady advocate Melina (Sushma Raj). Karthik is surprised to see that this is the same girl he had met at Landmark and introduced herself as an engineer. He accuses her of cheating him but she calls herself "a student passed in merit" and teases him of "passing in attempt". They argue with each other and end up in an agreement that whoever is able to handle a case first gets the whole office to themselves. Das sends Dina to be a handy helper to Melina and Karthik who end up fighting as to who Dina has to attend to first.Melina and Karthik put efforts to find a case and end up in embarrassing and foolish situations. An old couple seeks Karthik's justice for divorce but Melina locks him up in his room and goes to enquire the old couple's case. But Karthik gets out with Dina's help and rushes to enquire intervening Melina. They start fighting and end up in losing the case.

Kittu / Krishna (Sundeep Kishan) is a cab driver who saves his money with the cab owner (Tanikella Bharani). When the owner refuses to return his money, Kittu kidnaps the owner's daughter Nandu (Regina Cassandra). Nadaraj (Livingston) is an honest, not-too-good-looking, village artist who comes to the city to find a job. He ends up being a banner artist. Shwetha (Kousalya) is a U.S. citizen, who loves India and its culture and stays with her relatives to learn bharatanatiyam. She is a soft-natured, loving girl who loves to help people in distress but cannot stand it if anyone lies or cheats. Initially when these two meet, she mistakes Nadaraj to be a mute and pities him. Shwetha's occasional friendlier association with Nadaraj, in the means of helping, gradually blossoms into love. By this time, it is too late for the guilt-ridden Nadaraj to disclose the truth as he feared the risk of losing her. Despite all his efforts to reveal the truth, Shwetha comes to know of his sham by herself. However at the end she realises Nadaraj's true intentions for acting as a mute and forgives him. However at the climax, when Shwetha asks Nadaraj to speak to her, he keeps silent because he had asked a doctor to cut his tongue so that he could be the Nadaraj Swetha had come to love.

Bhoominathan (Vijay) idolises Muthuramalingam (Rajkiran) and at the request of his parents, accepts to work for the latter as his bodyguard. There enters Muthuramalingam's rival, who has lost his daughter since she committed suicide, the reason being rejection by Muthuramalingam's son. While Bhoominathan protects Muthuramalingam, his rival threatens the life of his daughter Meera (Asin). Bhoominathan is sent to college along with Meera and her friend Madhu (Mithra Kurian) to protect them from the threat. Meera tries to distance herself from Bhoominathan by calling him from a private number; Bhoominathan falls in love with the girl without knowing that it is Meera herself. At one point, Meera too feels herself becoming attracted to Bhoominathan and expresses her desire to meet him in person. However, due to circumstances they are not able to accomplish this until at the climax when she tells Bhoominathan to run away with her and to meet at a railway station. Bhoominathan agrees, unaware it is Meera. However through certain means,Muthuramalingam comes to think that Bhoominathan and Meera are going to run away. In order to save Bhoominathan's life from the anger of Muthuramalingam, Meera lies that the lover is not her and that Bhoominathan is meeting another girl at the train station. Muthuramalingam lets Bhoominathan leave as he was desperate to meet his 'lover' at the station. The story moves on to few years later where Bhoominathan and his son returning to Meera's village, with the son keeping away a diary written to him by his mum. At Meera's house, Meera's father was ill and Meera appeared from her room unmarried that shocked Bhoominathan as he felt the man who would marry Meera would be the luckiest man on earth. The son continues to read the diary later in the night where the remaining of the story reveals. Meera's father lets Bhoominathan go but tells his henchmen to kill Bhoominathan if the girl he claims to meet does not appear. Terrified that Bhoomi would be killed, Meera sends her friend, Madhu, to the station and tells her to tell Bhoominathan that she is the lover and that she won't be able to make it to the station. Madhu, seeing Bhoominathan, tries to tell him that it was Meera but, Muthuramalingam's henchman appeared to be behind Bhoomi. Madhu pretends that she was his lover whilst the henchman was watching. But the hug from Bhoominathan made Madhu to backstab her friend. Meera called Madhu's phone but Madhu killed Meera's call, switched the phone off and threw it outside the train. Her wicked smile indicated that she now wanted Meera out of their life, so she settled in another country. But God works in mysterious ways. Madhu's life was short-lived. She felt it's God way of punishing her and therefore wanted her son to know the truth. When Bhoominathan and the son leaves the next day, the son asks Meera if he can call her 'amma' and she says yes. And he then asks his 'mum' to follow them back. Bhoominathan gets angry at his son for saying something so blunt and rude. But Muthuramalingam begs Bhoominathan to take Meera as his wife. So they go onto the train together but the son runs away before leaving and throws the diary into a trashcan nearby. Bhoominathan finds the diary and realises soon that his real lover, the girl who had waited for him for so many years faithfully, was Meera. And in the train he shows that he has accepted her full-heartedly.

Deva (Suriya) arrives at the Chennai International Airport after running an errand for Arumuga Dass (Prabhu Ganesan) of smuggling pre-release pirated movies on DVD. The two leave for their hideout and instruct Dilli (Karunas), a hearing-impaired assistant of Dass, to make copies of the DVD. Just when police crews arrive into their vicinity, Dass informs Deva and the rest to leave. Deva tells the others to leave while he quickly sets up the burning process. Deva also leaves the hideout just in time. However, the police officers arrive at the hideout, only to see the burning process of the DVDs complete. The police then seize the DVDs and computers. The inspector, who was a friend of Dass, tells him that he can close the case if one of Dass's men agrees to the crime. Deva attempts to go, but another man, Chitti (Jagan), who had no affiliation to them volunteers, takes the blame. Later, Chitti joins Dass's group.
