M Ghibran (Tamil: M ஜிப்ரான்) is a film music composer. For more than a decade, he worked as an Ad-film composer and composed for over 800 television commercial jingles in different languages before turning into a film music composer in the Indian Film Industry. He has completed Grade 8 in both Piano and Music theory through Trinity College London and also obtained his degree in Classical compositions and film scoring under Australian Composer Lindsay Vickery at the LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. Ghibran shuttles between chennai, Mumbai and Singapore for all his recording works and owns a studio at chennai.

The story starts off in Mumbai with Chota Nayak (Kabir Duhan Singh) escaping from police custody. Once out, he looks out for his aide-turned-foe Ranganath (Brahmaji). Jai (Gopichand) is a fire officer who happens to help Ranganath, not knowing that the latter is the former right-hand man of Mumbai don Nayak. He turns informer and runs away with the money of Nayak. Nayak suspects Jai to be an accomplice of Ranganath and starts troubling him. This brings them to Hyderabad where he meets Savitri (Rashi Khanna) and it is love at first sight for both. Just as their romance begins, Nayak traces Jai and from then on it is open war between them. Nayak threatens to kill whoever is close to Jay and he keeps his word. He kills Jai's uncle in a fire accident after which Jai kills Nayak's brother. After which, Jai send his family far away to keep them safe but Savithri, unaware of Nayak's presence, talks to him openly. Nayak then captures Savithri and threatens to kill her if Jai does not handover the money. Jai comes to realization as to where the money is and rifles through Ranganath's jacket where he finds a book containing the bank account and password where the money is located. Jai calls Nayak and they meet at a deserted market for the exchange but it goes wrong when a police officer tries killing Nayak and Jai saves Nayak to the dismay of the police officer. Meanwhile Nayak gains access to the bank account and sees it to be empty. All the money had been transferred to the dying Savithri's account. Nayak tries reviving Savithri in a building under construction. Jai arrives and sets fire to the building. After which there is a bloody and violent battle between Nayak and Jai.

Ragava (Jai) and Vishnu Priya (Nazriya Nazim) are travelling in the train from Chennai to Coimbatore under the identities Abu Backer and Aayisha. Ragava acquires the identity of Abu as he gets a ticket reserved in that name and Priya acquires the identity of Aayisha as she is impersonating her Muslim friend for a project. Abu/Ragava helps her from a stalker and in course falls in love with her. She too develops feelings for him. Back in Chennai, they start to get to know each other. They assume that the other person is a Muslim. But soon Priya feels guilty and asks Ragava to keep away from her. Saddened by this, Ragava meets a Unani doctor Showkhat Ali (Jamal) and learns about Islam just for the sake of Aayisha. Showkhat's daughter Naseema (Heebah Patel) falls in love with Ragava, assuming him to be Abu Backer. On the day of Ramzan, Priya confesses her love to Ragava and they start a relationship. Under certain circumstances, they both come to know about their true identities. Though their family arrange their marriage, they feel that they had true love only for their Muslim counterparts. On the day of their marriage, they break up and move away. Meanwhile, Naseema comes to know about Ragava's marriage and her cousin Ashraff (Dinesh) plans for revenge. Ragava and Priya attend Priya's friend Aayisha's marriage and they feel that they still have love for each other. As Ragava leaves the venue, Ashraff and his friends beat him up. Naseema stops them and confesses that only she had mistaken Ragava. Priya notices the brawl, realizes her love and hugs Ragava. Finally, they both get married.

Raja (Sharwanand) is a simple yet well off son of a vegetable vendor. He constantly keeps breaking-up with girlfriends because of his honesty. Then he meets Priya (Seerat) and they both fall in love. Raja goes and talks with Dileep who reveals that he wants to get Priya married to the minister's son. He tricks Raja into kidnapping one of the big shots in city. But Raja instead kidnaps Priya, who tells him that she never loved him and only pretended so she could go for higher studies in a foreign land.

During the village festival, Vanaroja's ring goes missing, so her father Poongavanam (Aadukalam Naren) comes there and tells everyone to find the ring for a reward of 1 lakh. Only Chinna Vandu finds it in front of Vanaroja, but he gives the ring to a poor lady to claim the prize, as Vanaroja does not like him. Seeing this, Vanaroja falls in love with him. Chinna Vandu makes a challenge to himself: to know whether Vanaroja's in love or not. He gets to know that Vanaroja is also in love with him.

Veluthambi (Vimal), who is driven by the pride of having gained high education, wants nothing less than a government job. Due to compulsion, he finds himself in a village educating the children of people working in the brick kilns. As Velu reaches the village, he is greeted by innocent faces that fear that he would spoil children who are into work. As time passes by, Veluthambi manages to convince the families to send their children to school. He is revered by the villagers as a godsend to lift them out of their miserable lives. In between, in the same village a girl, Madhi (Iniya) falls in love with him but he fails to recognise it. The local bigwig JP (Ponvannan) treats the whole village almost like his bonded labourers. And he is irked by the new-found freedom that the villagers and their children seem to enjoy. He tries to threaten them but fails. Fate comes in the form of a government job for Veluthambi. But he feels the pinch of conscience to leave the children and walk away to a comfortable life. He returns to confess his love for the children and Madhi.
